Für alle Berliner intressant, eine kleine Rarität und grade Touristenmagnet in Berlin:
Irgendjemand hat unlängst "amerikanische Flusskrebse" aus seinem Aquarium im Neuen See im Berliner Tiergarten ausgesetzt. Die Tiere vermehren sich nun wie die Karnickel, und laufen nebenbei munter durch den Park, zwischen ihren Teichen.
Kaum erscheint einer der Krebse auf den Wegen im Park, bilden sich sogleich grosse Menschentrauben um ihn. Die meisten Tiere laufen unbeeindruckt weiter, aber der hier war auf Aggro gebürstet. Kaum 10 cm lang, aber aufplustern wie Schwarzenegger ;-)
Über diese Population wurde wohl auch schon im Fernsehen berichtet. Schätze, in Kürze rennen da mehr Menschen als Krebse rum.
Wer die sehen oder fotografieren will, sollte nicht zu lange warten: Das Grünflächenamt wird die wohl bald versuchen alle einzufangen. Erstens fressen sie angeblich zu viele andere Tiere in den Teichen da, ausserdem hat man wohl Angst vor Krankheiten die die einschleppen KÖNNTEN....

This expressionist photo depicts a distorted and fragmented figure, conveying a sense of isolation and anguish. Voor mijn laatste vakantiedag zocht ik een invulling te combineren met mijn strandwandeling. Dat werd het circuit. Vrij toegankelijk, je mag op de hoofdtribune en in de pitstraat komen. Er zou die dag zelfs getraind/getest worden.
Het was in mijn hoofd allemaal veel groter dan de werkelijkheid. Ik ben heel stoer de tribune opgegaan, hopende dat ik er ook weer af zou kunnen. Er is een paar keer een auto langsgekomen. Met angst en beven aan de reling een paar foto's geschoten. En toen de gang naar beneden, stapje voor stapje tot ik eindelijk weer de vlakke grond onder mijn voeten voelde.
Ik had gelezen dat er een eetgelegenheid aan de pitstraat was waar ik een kleine lunch genoten heb. Nog altijd niets te beleven op het circuit, dus ben ik weer terug gewandeld....
For my last day of vacation I was looking for something to combine with my beach walk. That became the circuit. Free access, you can go to the main stand and the pit lane. There would even be training/testing that day.
In my head it was all much bigger than reality. I went up to the stand very bravely, hoping that I would be able to get down again. A car passed by a few times. With fear and trembling I took a few photos at the railing. And then the walk down, step by step until I finally felt the flat ground under my feet again.
I had read that there was a restaurant on the pit lane where I enjoyed a small lunch. Still nothing to do on the circuit, so I walked back....
Trotz seines stattlichen Alters von mittlerweile über 120 Jahren, tummelt sich der kleine EM400 in den Sommermonaten immmernoch im Planverkehr auf der Bahnstrecke Tábor–Bechyně. Mit einer Atemberaubenden Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 35 km/h, hüpft die kleine Kugel, parallel zu einem Bügeleisen und einer kapesní Bobina durchs Land. Um den bunten Fahrzeugeinsatz auf der Nebenbahn festzuhalten ging es zum Abschluss der Sommertaour am 07.09.2024 nach Tabor. Am Vorabend hatten wir kurz Angst gehabt, dass nur die Bügeleisen auf der Strecke unterwegs sind, weil die Umläufe für 100 003 und 401 001 durchgestrichen waren. Ein Blick ins Muj Vlak brachte jedoch Erleichterung und so konnte am Vormittag der gesamte Fuhrpark der Bahnstrecke Tábor–Bechyně aufgenommen werden. Am Nachmittag ging es für mich weiter ins Sázava-Tal, während Fabi sich für einen Sommerzug mit Trommel positionierte. An dieser Stelle möchte ich noch einmal vielen Dank an Fabi ausrichten, der mich die zwei Wochen durch die Gegend kutschierte.

Shot earlier this fall, we are witnessing a Good Samaritan fisherman struggling to carry a heavy Salmon that was fighting through shallow water to deeper water where he released it. The pain on the mans face is due to the fact that he had a broken foot at the time. This fisherman at least understood that helping these fish reach their objective will further help the species, and continue to allow the sport to flourish.
