The rest of The City Park West project centre right was completed in the summer of 2015.
The building in the centre left is one of Chelmsford's tallest buildings, the 141.04 feet high Kings Tower at Marconi Plaza.

Three Higgins cranes on the construction site of the second phase of the City Park West development at the former Chelmsford Technical College, Chelmsford Institute of Higher Education , Anglia Polytechnic University and finally the Anglia Ruskin University central campus site in the City of Chelmsford in Essex (UK) in September 2016.
These distinctive cranes along with their bright night time red anti collision lights can be seen all over the City and surrounding district.
The luxury apartment building behind on the left is the 142 feet high Kings Tower at Marconi Plaza which opened in 2007. The Kings Tower was designed so each apartment caught the sun at least one a day (weather permitting) and looked like a bow of a ship both ends.

Welcome to Chelmsford. Home of ARU (Anglia Ruskin University).
I'm not entirely convinced Chelmsford is actually the home of the ARU though and according to this Wikipedia article en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglia_Ruskin_University

Not sure how tall Norman Court is but it most likely mirrors the 142 feet tall 'Kings Tower' which is is out of sight a very short distance away.
In contrast of the modern architecture, (empty and to let) Frederick Chancellor building on the far right was built in 1906.

The Grade II listed 'Anne Knight Building' in Duke Street in the City of Chelmsford in Essex (UK).
The former Quaker Meeting House was built in 1824 and was renamed after Quaker and feminist pioneer Anne Knight in 1957.
The building formed part of the Chelmsford Institute of Higher Education , Anglia Polytechnic University and Anglia Ruskin University central campus site for many years.
The building has been restored after years of neglect, not that you'd believe it with all that green mould and tide marks all over the place.

City Park West is a new development at the former site of the Chelmsford Technical College, Chelmsford Institute of Higher Education , Anglia Polytechnic University and finally the Anglia Ruskin University central campus while King's Tower at Marconi Plaza is one of Chelmsford's tallest buildings at 141.04 feet.
King's Tower is designed so all the apartments caught the Sun at least one a day (weather permitting) and looked like a bow of a ship both ends.
Note the Great Eastern Main Line railway viaduct through the centre which dates from 1842.

The 142 feet high Kings Tower was opened in 2007 and was designed so all the apartments caught the Sun at least one a day (weather permitting) and looked like a bow of a ship both ends.
Note the Great Eastern Main Line railway up on the viaduct that runs right between these two skyscrapers and the vehicles in the centre row all parked pointing out. Common sense prevails in a car park for a change..

Despite looking quite vulnerable here the Victorian built railway tavern public house is quite safe from demolition and new development building construction sites surrounding it.

A nightime view of the Grade II listed 'Anne Knight Building' in Duke Street in Chelmsford (UK).
The former Quaker Meeting House was built in 1824 and was renamed after Quaker and feminist pioneer Anne Knight in 1957.
The Anne Knight building formed part of the Chelmsford Institute of Higher Education , Anglia Polytechnic University and Anglia Ruskin University central campus site for many years.
The building is shown here fully restored after undergoing an extensive renovation after years of decline. It now forms an integral part of the new City Park West development which replaced the University buildings directly behind in Park Road.
This is a good effort by the developers to restore a neglected icon of the city.
