New bicycle sheds under construction adjacent to Chelmsford Railway Station in Essex (UK) in June 2013.
Not entirely sure if these are to supplement the existing cycle areas at the station or to replace them. They might even be for the new development under construction in Park Road. Either way this area was used as a free for all car park. That now seems lost..

Durrant Court is a luxury apartment building in New Street in Chelmsford (UK). This huge building also incorporates Globe House, Ashby House and the Fitness First gym.
The building itself was built in 1898 by The Hoffmann Manufacturing Company who were the world leaders in bearing manufacture and was part of the world famous New Street factory. The building name in the Hoffmann and RHP era was just Globe House. (The Hoffmann Company became RHP- Ransome Hoffmann Pollard in 1969)
The company is long defunct with the factory completely closing on December 23rd 1989. The rest of the huge factory site which was located out of shot to the left was demolished in 1990 with the Anglia Ruskin University rising from the ashes.

Despite looking quite vulnerable here the Victorian built Railway Tavern public house on the left is quite safe from demolition and new development building construction sites surrounding it.
