Sono questi i paesaggi che mi affascinano ed avvolte commuovono..., il silenzio interrotto solo dal cinguettio frenetico, le nebbie mattutine ed il Sole che che poi ti regala questi colori...la meravigliosa Val d'Orcia!!

I almost missed this amazing alley off Morphett Street just before Light Square. It looks totally surreal, like a movie set.

The light after a brief rain shower in Birmingham was amazing. Taken outside Symphony Hall looking towards the new library.

I shot this at the TEN SING concert at the Kirchentag ( churchday) in Munic.

I am in love with this song. I had to intercut some scenes, because the quality was not that good. But I hope you will like it and I want to thank you for being so nice contacts! Please carry on with your photography. Your pictures are amazing! :-)

I recieved more fashions made by the very talented Shasha of Atelierni Shasha from Etsy last week!!

Look at the amazing packaging too!!! What a treat it is to open a package from her!!! And of course the clothes are divine!!!

The light show that we had last week.

Its amazing this world we live in :)

happy weekend everyone

As some of you may know, I've been on a mission this summer to get a great sunrise reflection shot from Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. And while I'm not proud of how many failed attempts are behind this morning's wonderful sunrise (and I intentionally didn't keep count), I am pretty sure I ran up to Bear Lake in an attempt for this shot 17 times in the past 6 months. Keep in mind I live 1 hour and 50 minutes away. All this makes the final shot and the fact that mother nature FINALLY cooperated - that much more rewarding. I don't think I would have even taken on this challenge if I'd known how long it would take, but looking back on it, I'm also glad I didn't give up.

In all my failed attempts, I had a chance to think about all the reasons I wasn't happy and insisted on going back again and again and again. So in fun, here are the top 10 reasons I claimed I had to go back:

10. No clouds

9. Too many clouds

8. No clouds over Longs Peak

7. Raining

6. Amazing clouds, but they never lit up

5. Wicked windy

4. Snowing

3. Clouds to the east blocked the early morning sun

2. A couple of people beat me to my spot and blocked both spots I'd scouted

1. The darn lake was still frozen!

In the end, I caved on one of the things I was hoping for in my dream shot. I'd originally hoped for a super calm morning where I could get a detailed reflection of Longs Peak and the glowing clouds. And while I suppose that may be possible someday, I found few calm mornings and besides cool clouds don't tend to hang around on the calm mornings. So with a Neutral Density filter in-hand, I decided I'd smooth out the ripples and go for the glowing color instead of reflected details. This approach seemed to help open the door to finding the more interesting weather.

A truly amazing mushroom!

Braving the elements this sweet alyssum is still going strong.

After a textbook launch and docking on Sunday night, ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, NASA astronaut Terry Virts and Roscosmos commander Anton Shkaplerov boarded the International Space Station.

This image taken by Terry of Samantha, was Samantha’s first Tweet from space, with the comment: “Amazing being in space, better than anything I ever imagined. Saw my first sunrise from the Cupola today!”

The three astronauts have about a week to get used to floating around their new surroundings before taking on a full schedule of science and maintenance for the rest of their six-month mission.

I created this from some shot I took and made a Twirl and then an Amazing Circle but have had it so long that I don't remember what now.. I have used it to make a little movie which I will post later...

The colours in this photo were not enhanced. I witnessed a truly amazing sunset last evening. Wherever you turned, different shades and hues of orange, pink and red would be visible. It was fabulous.

This Black-shouldered Kite looks guilty. Could it be because of the blood on its beak and claws? :)

I think the sleeping Milkman was taking this broken chair to his home , probably someone he delivers milk to gave him this discarded chair.

Amazing ! I came across this amazing building ,near Hexham,I had to do alot of cloning ,to hide all the cars.

I have been in such a great mood all day and no wonder with a greeting like this on my way to work.

3 EMD 70's pull up to West Cheyenne where they will wait for their turn into town. This golden light is a true as i saw it, I only cropped this photo and sharpened it. I have never seen such golden light in my life!

The lighting produced by a sunrise can be quite magical.

Sadly.....the most beautiful part of the day occurs before many people wake up !

Have a great Sunday.....
