I found these cute tiny wildflowers near the woods in our neighborhood. They were supported by a decomposed branch and green leaves. I was happy that I could shoot them from a good angle to exhibit their trumpet shape. Besides, the sunlight enhances their natural beauty; how lovely!
Amazing how in the middle of Winter the bees suddenly appear when there's a bit of sunshine and flowers to feed from.

We had seen the red-headed woodpecker in the Rehoboth Bay, Delaware, area only once in the 30 years we have been visiting there. We took a picture of that one back in 2016 which was selected for 'In Explore' (see comment 1). Now, suddenly this month and seven years later the subject red-headed woodpecker shows up in almost exactly the same place.

When I met Michelle Zauner, lead singer of Japanese Breakfast, and autobiographical Crying in H Mart for this portrait, she was funny and sweet and I didn't know even a tenth of the multitudes she contains at that time. I'd recommend both her music and her autobiography, which gets into her relationship with her mom and her Korean identity and it also lays bare the process of grieving she goes through as her mom dies from Cancer. Zauner is honest and strong and an amazing human. I feel so honored I was able to take this portrait photo of her!
Her new album Jubilee was released June 4th!

Aberdeenshire & it's massif artistic skies.
No sooner are the crops lifted, than the land is back under the plough and the greens and golden yellows of the Corn & Barley become the rich browns of the soil again. The seasons changes are sudden not gradual when it comes to intensive agriculture in a fertile and open space like the lands of Aberdeenshire, Scotland's North East.
