So I attended the AC DC 'Power Up' concert at the Sydney (Accor) Olympic Stadium, at Homebush in western Sydney, last Friday 21st November, 2025, and then again on Monday, 25th November, 2025.
It was VERY loud but amazingly energetic. My two daughters were NOT at all impressed, arguing that Taylor Swift is far better and more popular. "Well," I argued back, "let's see who has sold more tickets, and which tickets sold the fastest?" So we looked at the Ticketek website and guess what? AC DC destroyed Taylor Swift for sales!!! "OMG," declared Miss 18, "there must be SO many old people in Sydney." See what I live with.

The Intha fishermen on Inle lake in Myanmar (Burma) have a skilful and elegant technique for catching fish in the shallow water. They are using one leg to balance on the front of the boat and the other one to guide the conical net.

Just before evening falls over Montreux, the scene is filled with a quiet, effortless beauty. The sun is slipping behind the mountains, and its golden rays break through the clouds, stretching across the waters of Lake Geneva like a long ribbon of light. The distant Alpine ridges lie in deep shadow, yet their sharp silhouettes remain clear against the glowing sky.
The lake is calm and almost motionless, carrying only a soft shimmer where the light touches the surface. Sky, mountains, and water seem to merge into one peaceful frame. It feels as if nature itself has slowed down for a moment, gently holding on to the last light of the day.
This is more than a sunset—it is that brief, delicate time between day and night, when everything grows still, and a quiet sense of calm settles in without any reason at all.
Saturday Self-Challenge: Take a photo and post process it to achieve the goal for your subject.
Earlier this week, I had a chance to visit the beautiful Winterthur Museum and Gardens. During my tour of the gardens, I saw a hedgerow of Elephant Ear plants (Colocasia). The sun was shining brightly on the leaves; I had never studied them up close before, and did not realize how incredibly beautiful the leaf structure was. Backlighting by the sun revealed an intricate pattern that made for a perfect natural abstract.
Post-processing involved cropping,increasing highlights, sharpening and use of the HDR effect by PicMonkey.

Even though this rock is eastern oriented the sunset here is so amazing. Sometime we walk or travel for hours and sometimes we find the best places right behind our home.
While Graham took Rufus out for his last prom, I took my soft drink outside onto the patio.
As I opened the door, I noticed our Collared Dove was on the table, so slipped back inside for my camera.
I spent about ½hr out there with it, while it had some bird seed and a drink. It didn't mind my camera at all and I began breathing again when it finally flew off!
An honour, privilege and just wow.

Last week I was enjoying my second spring hiking, and I suddenly spotted an awesome tree with leaves with this color, and I had to take some shots from it. I love their pastern, and they are also part of a flag, the Canadian flag:

I specially love trees, birds and flowers, but there is so much to see, enjoy and capture during a long hiking trip, a lake, a conservation area, forest or park, the list of places is very long, that‘s why I‘m a photographer!
Graphic design is another way to express myself. I love reinventing a photo that I have seen, in different ways. I use Photoshop to do these transformations, and I also my own photos to create textures.

Have done some research. It's called a Fallstreak hole.

A fallstreak hole, also known as a hole punch cloud, punch hole cloud, skypunch, canal cloud or cloud hole, is a large circular or elliptical gap that can appear in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds. Such holes are formed when the water temperature in the clouds is below freezing but the water has not frozen yet due to the lack of ice nucleation particles (see supercooled water). When ice crystals do form it will set off a domino effect, due to the Bergeron process, causing the water droplets around the crystals to evaporate: this leaves a large, often circular, hole in the cloud.[1]
It is believed that the introduction of large numbers of tiny ice crystals into the cloud layer sets off this domino effect of evaporation which creates the hole. The ice crystals can be formed by passing aircraft which often have a large reduction in pressure behind the wing- or propellor-tips. This cools the air very quickly, and can produce a ribbon of ice crystals trailing in the aircraft's wake. These ice crystals find themselves surrounded by droplets, grow quickly by the Bergeron process, causing the droplets to evaporate and creating a hole with brush-like streaks of ice crystals below it. The articles by Westbrook and Davies (2010)[2] and Heymsfield et al. (2010) [3] explain the process in more detail, and show some observations of their microphysics and dynamics. Such clouds are not unique to any one geographic area and have been photographed from many places.
Because of their rarity and unusual appearance, as well as very little exposure in media, fallstreak holes are often mistaken for or attributed to unidentified flying objects.[4]
