Former NR1 / Pacific Hwy alignment near the Coomera River Bridge

I used Stellarium to determine that this alignment is (from left to right), the Moon, Regulus, Mars and Saturn. Awesome! Shame I didn't have a telescope :)

This is not a completed video of my alignment process. It was just a small portion and I didn't finish the video out, due to some computer glitches.

View from the Astronomical Viewing Platform of one of the astronomical alignments, America's Stonehenge, Salem, New Hampshire

From the Tour Guide Map:

"From this platform, constructed in 1975, one can view the major astronomical alignment stones, including those stones for a true north alignment and the summer and winter solstice sunrise and sunset. The winter sunrise monolith, now fallen, and the true south directional wall should have been observed on your way to the main site. Your view has been provided by tree clearing started in 1967 and continuously maintained. At the time of the original builders, the hill was mostly barren bedrock with few trees. The area beneath this platform was excavated by Mr. Goodwin while he was looking for the quarry site of the "Sacrificial Table". In doing so he may have destroyed the ruins of the two stone structures which could have been used as a central viewing point. Reference to these can be found in Mr. Goodwin's book "The Ruins of Great Ireland in New England", page 60. The back of this Tour Guide contains the most recent information concerning these alignments."

The cling wrap has gone; the bendy-ply "feet" have strips of double-sided tape to hold them securely to the side decks, per the port side; the side panels are held *reasonably* securely by pairs of blocks held down onto the bendy-ply with double-sided tape, per the starboard side.

Jupiter, Venus and the moon. I didn't know Mercury was hiding behind the house until I looked this up on the internet.

I need to work on my night photos so I don't get any start trails.

This alignment in northern Boone County was left behind when a new bridge was built. The old bridge is gone.

Sadly, the cromlech (the largest and most exciting part of the alignments) is closed to the general public and fenced off as you can see here. Further down we were able to walk amongst the stones though.
