These images are from two very similar projects that I've just helped my friends with. They want to be able to hold bike frames on their alignment tables by the head tube. They both purchased used bench centers, and we had to make bull nose centers for them.
The fit up needed to be very close, so we were working to within a few tenths.
The other complication was that one of the centers on each set was spring loaded and utilized a rack and pinion to withdraw it... so we had to mill those rack gears.

Because I was shooting through a multi-pane window, there were ghost images of the bright points; I removed the easily-corrected star and Venus ghosts, but left the halo image created around the lower end of the moon.

I don't have free access to fancy CNC machines, so an alignment mark is needed to know which holes match. Eventually found out it was close, but they are not spot on.
Note: the cardboard gets destroyed during the drilling process. A new template is needed for each head.

Because a relatively short beam was used, significant shear stresses existed in the beam, and failure has occurred principally by shear. In this mode, the specimen splits longitudinally along planes parallel to its neutral axis, due to shear failure within the matrix and at the weak interface between fibres and matrix. Matrix porosity (and particularly the long longitudinal voids present in this specimen), the poor wetting of fibres by the resin, and poor fibre distribution will all promote failure by shear. However, it may be that this failure mechanism has been partly inhibited by poor fibre alignment since some off-axis fibres will reinforce the matrix in shear

Kevlar is a lyotropic liquid crystal polymer. This means that it can be readily processed in solution (in this case, sulphuric acid). It is annealed under tension to increase its elastic modulus
Processing
A crude Kevlar composite was made by laying out 40 tows of fibre, painting them with epoxy resin, compressing them in a mould, and curing them for five hours at 100-190 degrees C
Applications
Kevlar composites are used as a structural material in the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as in certain high-performance sporting equipment. They present exceptional stiffness and can be structurally optimised for particular load-bearing applications.

I borrowed a set of Dunlop wheel alignment gauges from work to accurately set the toe angle. This was done after adjusting the castor / camber (see following photos).
Day - 02 - Prepared for paint and fixed a few minor things.
Back brakes needed adjustment and the back wheel needed alignment.

This is the original alignment of US 40 here, before the current 4-lane road was built. It was built in the 30s so this has been left behind for a long time!

Alignment and phylogenetic analysis of SUP-like genes.(A) Alignment of CsSUP and SUP-like genes. The amino acid sequences of CsSUP, Csa001112 and Cas010435 in cucumber, AtSUP and RBE in Arabidopsis, NtSUP in tobacco, PhSUP in petunia, SlSUP in white campion and Os05g0286100 in rice were aligned using ClustalW in the MEGA5 software package.
