Picked up a used 6" reflector telescope that needs alignment often. Came with a laser "eyepiece" and instructions.
T. gondii sporoRON2 and sporoAMA1 are conserved in other Apicomplexans and are distinct from generic RON2 and generic AMA1.A. The Toxoplasma sporoRON2 polypeptide sequences were aligned with their respective homologues in Eimeria tenella, Neospora caninum, Plasmodium spp. (P. falciparum and P. vivax), Babesia spp. (B.bovis and B.microti), and Theileria spp. (T. annulata and T. parva) using ClustalW (as part of MegAlign software (Lasergene)) and an anchored phylogenetic tree was generated using the standard algorithm. The clusters including generic and sporozoite-specific versions of each protein are so-labeled. Bootstrapping analysis was performed to determine confidence intervals (1000 trials). B. Alignment of domain 3 (D3) of the indicated RON2 homologues was performed in ClustalW. Residues identical to that of T. gondii sporoRON2 are indicated with shading on the upper panel, while residues identical to those of T. gondii generic RON2 are boxed on the lower panel. Numbers indicate amino acid position of T. gondii sporoRON2 from the starting Methionine. C. As for (A) except using the predicted sporoAMA1 polypeptide sequences.
Sometimes I know objects align with each other before I actually take my position and frame the picture.

Predicted amino acid sequence and phylogenetic analysis of MoPex5.(A) Alignment of predicted amino acid sequence of MoPex5 and its homologues. The amino acid sequences of GzPex5 (EAA68640) from Gibberella zeae, NcPex5 (EAA36111) from Neurospora crassa, AnPex5 (CBF85028) from Aspergillus nidulans, PcPex5 (AY366189) from Penicillium chrysogenum and ScPex5 (CAA89730) from Saccharomyces cerevisiae were aligned with Clustal W. Identical amino acids are highlighted against a black background, conserved residues are shown on a dark gray background, and similar amino acids are shown on a light gray background. Four probable TPR domains of MoPex5 were indicated with a line on the top of the sequence. (B) Phylogenetic relationship among MoPex5 and its homologues. The phylogenetic trees of the amino acid sequences were created using the MEGA 5.0 program according to the result of alignment.
To set the castor angle you need to turn the front wheels by +/- 20 degrees. This needs to be done accurately and I therefore marked some guidelines on to a piece of cardboard to help. Handy that the tyres have a treads that you can use to line up the wheel...!
The Bruce Highway used to do a loop through Wallaville before the construction of the Tim Fischer Bridge. This section was bypassed in 1999, This is at the southern end near the junction of the A1.

Beaghmore (Please, don’t ask me to pronounce it.) is a complex of seven stone circles with cairns and alignments. The circles are in three pairs, each with a small cairn between. The seventh circle is separate and different from the others. The circles are made up of small stones. The alignments are either made up of the largest stones at the site or the smallest. This shot shows two of the circles, a cairn and an array of alignments. If you're going to take pictures of Beaghmore, bring a ladder. Ground level shots like this don't do it justice.
Passing the place where the shinkansens are washed and parked when not running up and down the route between Tokyo and Kagoshima Chuo.
Apart from the rain, a picture from a passing shinkansen is difficult because by this stage out of Shin-Osaka, it will have gathered considerable speed...

Prior to aligning the wheels the castor was 12 degrees (no wonder the steering was a bit heavy!). This originally lead me to (incorrectly) believe that the wishbones could have an offset and were fitted the wrong way around.
Identification of chicken CRTAM.(A) Ig domains (IgV, IgC1), connecting peptides (CP) and cytoplasmic domains (CY) as well as PDZ-binding motifs (framed) are indicated. The positions of the signal peptides (SP) and the transmembrane domains (TM) are marked by a bar above the sequence. The conserved cysteine residues are marked by asterisks. Exons are numbered according to the genomic structure of the chicken sequence. The alignment was performed separately for the different exons with ClustalW. Identical residues are boxed. (B) In order to delineate the phylogenetic relationships of the chicken and mammalian receptors indicated a neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree was generated using the MEGA5 software. The Moon, Jupiter, and Venus beginning their alignment that happens only every 44 years. Took this shot in Granite Oklahoma. Kind of a happy accident, I was packing my camera into my car and looked up and there they were, I'm so glad I packed my tripod in my car that day.
