i finally felt comfortable enough to walk without crutches today just using the walking boot. i was really stoked about taking some shots while going to/from my office. hopefully this thing will be off in a week!
Wansey Road, Randwick
A selection of shots taken at the junction of Alison and Wansey Roads Randwick. At this spot work is underway building the Wansey Road stop, landscaping and installing overhead towards High Street and the UNSW.

Before we strap a rocket onto it and send it screaming down the track we want to make sure the alignment is correct. The cars are hooked to a shuttle that is itself hooked to the sled. The shuttle ensures the cables are generating an even pull since the cars will not be in perfect sync and so the sled will be pulled straight down the track with no lateral force

All that remains of a late WWII V-1 rocket launch site deep in a forest in Vlaanderen, west Belgium. This the aiming platform, wooden poles would have been in the holes and the V-1 suspended from them and most likely pointed at my house in London! You can also see an arc of indentions in the concrete pad to assist in alignment.

Unfortunately this old alignment is blocked at the north end, and gated at the south. Pity!
I really do wish I cut out that maccas cup in the foreground.
I can make out a path on the map that was probably an old alignment. The pavement found here is evidence I was right.
The Moon joins Jupiter, Venus and Mercury (yes, it's there near the horizon) just above Chesapeake Bay, complete with cruise ship leaving the Port of Baltimore.

Picked up a used 6" reflector telescope that needs alignment often. Came with a laser "eyepiece" and instructions.

Squirrelly winds near the Pt. Woronzof bluff often require last minute corrections to line-up with the runway’s centerline. That's what the pilot(s) of the MD-11F is doing at this moment.
Phylogenetic and structural analysis of WD40 proteins.(A) An amino acid sequence based phylogenetic tree of WD40 proteins from various organisms. The phylogenetic tree was generated by the MEGA 5 software using the neighbour-joining algorithm, and bootstrap values based on 1000 replications are represented at the branch points. The relative amount of change is represented by the scale bar. (B) Deduced amino acid sequence alignment of WD40 repeat proteins from dicot species was generated by ClustalW2. WD40 repeats are shown in boxes. Sequences from other species that extended beyond Linum sequence at the 3`end and did not contain any WD40 domains were trimmed.
