An anhinga does his little dance routine as I approach just prior to his departure. The spread their wings and move their head and neck in every position possible. There actions are pretty comical. They do not like to be approached.

Trinity House is a maritime charity dedicated to the welfare of shipping and seafarers.
THV Alert offers capabilities including emergency wreck location, hydrographic survey by sonar and echo sounding, scientific research, buoy handling and towing. It cruises at 12 knots although it can reach 17 when necessary. Serving the Southeast coast, it is pictured here moored at Harwich.
This peregrine falcon attacks the little birds near my bird feeder. It is very brazen and is not afraid of people.
A contemporary model of the 14-gun Brig-Sloop HMS Alert at the Science Museum, South Kensington, November 2008. Designed by Sir John Williams and built privately by Thomas King, Dover, being launched in 1779 and subsequently purchased by the Royal Navy. She was broken up in 1792. The Alert measured 79 ft x 25 ft x 11 ft, and had a tonnage of 202 tons. She was armed with 8x4 pdrs (later 8x6drs).
Alice is very tired because she is always alert.
