I know grief...
Old enemies we are...
I lost my grand-parents...
I lost my parents...
I lost my only sister...
I lost a son...
I lost my best friend...
yes... I lost many... too many...
But HOPE?
NEVER...
Beauty helps me through a lot, so here is my gift to you.
Two bi-toned Roses, from my Summer garden, called Fire and Ice.
I love the subtle tones, all the varied tones, that give the flower/petals/stems their texture, depth and form, their delectable shapes accentuated, extracted and emphasised with the colour. Don't you agree?
THANX for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated, M, (*_*)

"She was the one who pulled the crimson flames of dawn in her heart
Leaking from her eyes is the ever flowing lights of transcendence
Every night, her cries on the wind
Let her leave this land,
Let her tale be told,
Leave her be
and the night lurking, burning in her hands."

This is absolutely inspired by the billions of millions of cloud/star photos out there on Flickr, but Lissy Elle the most.<3 I loved this cloud hair I made out of pillow stuffings (walked around in the house with it for quite some time), and none of the clouds in the photo are photoshop creations, they are all handmade from the same material!

Dear world, I am back! Let the last 100 days begin!
I took this a few weeks ago. I was getting so stressed. I felt sick, like if I could just throw up I'd feel better. I didn't feel safe driving, I just felt like I was going to end up hitting something. It was weird, and scary, and I hated life in general. So I forced myself to take a photo even though I was on my break, becasue I just needed some self-portrait therapy. And it worked. I just felt so relaxed and happy taking photos. Luckily school is now out for the summer and I can get back to what I love!
Becasue I love this song
Citroën 2CV "Charleston". That would make it a 1980 model, but I´ll pretend it´s a little older... ;-)
I saw her coming down from the hill and I took the shot.
When she came closer she said that she was sorry for ruining the shot. I answered "On the contrary, you WERE the shot". I smiled and thanked her so much for just being there at the right moment and I wrote down my flickr adress so that she could contact me if she would want a high res copy as a memory of a beautiful winter day in Stockholm.
(If you, the foreign lady sees this, contact me at oretep69@gmail.com and I´ll send you the image as I promised)
I´m filing this as a street/documentary shot even though it doesnt look like one. Just because, it is...

I had this idea in my head, and eventually my journal, for the past one and a half years. It came back so many times, but I never knew who to photograph for it next to Seb. And then Noukka asked me if she could come visit me at the beginning of may and I knew this was the perfect match and the right time. So on the first day when she was here we bought a white t-shirt, drew birds on it, walked up that hill together with Seb, then drew the same birds on his chest and took lots of photos. The moment I saw them on my computer screen I knew it was worth the wait. These must be some of my favourites I've ever taken and I'm so thankful I had two wonderful models who understood what I wanted from the beginning. :)

It was cloudy, gloomy, and rainy all day long. Most of you aren't from Nevada and hate all of those things but we never get to see rain.
I love it. I wish i could see it everyday like most of you do.
The twenty minutes that the sun showed today is when i took these, but next week its supposed to snow and i can't wait a second longer.

A family's manor home in central Garheim. The well-stocked storerooms will comfortably last them through the long winter.
Every room is accessible via two hinging sections and realistic staircase placement. Includes eight beds, one crib, storeroom, kitchen, dining hall, and two lookout points.
This is my first wintery castle. :) I really hope you like it.
Sunrise over Cronulla South Rockpool ( 6.40am 12/5/2012)
It was worth getting up early this morning to catch the sunrise.
The clouds and colours were just spectacular.
Birds flying, reflections on the rockpool .... just beautiful!
For those living in Sydney you would have seen the clouds and sky, the colours lately are just amazing!

"you're going to hell."
I'm gay. It's not a secret. Today I happened to catch Michelle Bachman, a very conservative Republican who is running for president, on the television at my mom's house. Michelle is one of those people who strongly believes in praying the gay away and sending gay people to camps where they can be "healed."
These ideas reminded me of those who believe that they or people they know can be changed and that being gay is a choice. Unfortunately, I know people like this. I really hate to get political here, but it's something that really began to bug me going into this self-portrait shoot. I wanted to do something that reflected the needs of those people who wish to repent for their "sin" of homosexuality. No matter how hard you wish and pray, you're always going to be fighting yourself and holding onto your true identity.
I feel like we all just need to love ourselves and each other. Be who you're meant to be and never change. Every single one of you is beautiful and you're going to change the world in some way. Never, ever stop dreaming. And if you ever need someone to listen or talk to, I'm willing and able to listen and give advice. My door is always open. <3
While typing this up, Born This Way by Lady Gaga came on. :) I found that to be appropriate.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in the evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
I think we all fall short of this expectation. I know I personally tend to keep track of things in the past and open those wounds with salt on them. Ouch! (Sorry Jer). It can even be more painful when you've realized what you've done. I really despise keeping track of these wrongs, but I'm only human, and sometimes it gets the best of me and makes me crumble. Perfect love...keeps no records of wrongs.
I met Liz today! Wow. Super beautiful girl and so fun to shoot. She was my first victim for my photography class assignment. I also posed for some of her portfolio which was fun. Get to be on the other side of the camera :] She treated me to some AWESEOME sushi at lunch :] Its funny when you meet someone who you talk to like you've already known them forever. I love that feeling. Thanks again Liz for today! :D
one hundred days to go! it's half term now, wah. I am glad. :) work was alright tonight. not too busy and not too quiet.
"Ideas are the source of all things." Plato.
In the middle of the 19th century, several neoclassical buildings, inspired by the beauty of Ancient Greece, were erected in the center of Athens. The one I show in this photograph happened to host the new Academy of Athens in 1926, which is one of the most important research organizations in the Hellenic country.
Its name, as well as the statues of Socrates and Plato that are at its entrance, quickly lead our imagination to the Academy founded by Plato in the 4th century BC, however, that institution was destroyed by the Roman emperor Sulla in the year 86 BC. Fortunately, the ideas of the great philosopher did not meet the same fate as the building, and they have continued to be a philosophical teaching of great importance throughout history.
This photograph came up with the idea that I could arrive in time for blue hour, after first photographing the Panathinaikó Stadium just before its closure. For this I had to convince my wife to quickly run the kilometer and a half that separates both buildings. She agreed with my idea, a little bit crazy considering the chaotic Athenian traffic, and we managed to arrive just in time to capture this image, which I love even more now that I see the final result and I remember our adventure to get it.
---------------------------------------------------
An overwhelming percentage of climate scientists agree that human activity is causing the global climate to change in ways that will have deleterious consequences both for the environment and for humankind. While scientists have alerted both the public and policy makers to the dangers of continuing or increasing the current rate of carbon emission, policy proposals intended to curb carbon emission and thereby mitigate climate change have been resisted by a notable segment of the public. Some of this resistance comes from those not wanting to incur costs or change energy sources. Others oppose policies intended to address climate change for ideological reasons. But perhaps the most alarming and visible are those who oppose solutions to climate change because they believe, or at least claim to believe, that anthropogenic climate change is not really happening and that climate scientists are lying and their data is fake.

Do we humans pass by time which is fixed, or does time pass by us. That has been debated for centuries. I don't know the answer, but I do know a place ...where the present meets the past.

Gavin's band had to leave their castle they had occupied for a few months. Soldiers in the army of Queen Galainir were becoming more frequent, and Gavin was sure of an attack on them soon. So they left their castle and became nomads once more. But they were still being watched...
