Red dao tribe women setting-up her head cover (Sa Pa, Vietnam)
The Dao (pronounced Zao) are the 9th largest ethnic group in Vietnam with a population of just under 500,000. They belong to the Hmong Dao language group and are believed to have started migrating from China in the 13th century. The women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes of all ethnic groups but can be identified by their black trousers richly embroidered with flower or small star patterns. Their jackets can be red or black usually with embroidered borders. The ensemble is topped by a black or red turban together with chunky silver jewelry. In addition most Dao women shave off their eyebrows and foreheads as this is traditionally regarded as a sign of beauty.

Israel / Midburn CORE project: Hand of Inspiration - יד ההשראה - This hand symbol is called a Hamsa.
In the back, the Shark Art Car.
This symbol is the hamsa hand, also called the Hand of Fatima in Islam and Hand of Miriam in Judaism (it is not the hand of Buddha!). The hamsa is a symbol of protection, strength, and power that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. It is a popular symbol in the Middle East and North Africa, and is often used in wall hangings and jewelry. The hamsa is believed to protect against negative energies and the evil eye. It is also said to attract positive energies, which can lead to good health, happiness, fortune, and luck. For more info about the Hamsa (hand symbol), go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa.

Plastic Bottles Trash - Turkish Kurdistan (Eastern Turkey)
On the side of a road, some poor people were sorting the plastic bottles from the rest of the trash in a landfill, for recycling.
Plastic bottles (especially mineral water bottles) are evil. Please drink tap water (or purified / filtered tap water if needed).
Sale of plastic bottles should not be permitted in countries that do not recycle plastic trash.
And in countries where plastic trash is recycled, there should be a tax on plastic bottles, used to finance recycling and to encourage people to bring their plastic trash to recycling centers where they would get that tax back. This is the case in many states in the US, and a lot of unemployed people make money by scavenging plastic trash and bringing it to recycling centers, where they get paid for the trash they bring. As a result, there is much less plastic trash in the environment.
One example is the California CRV: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Redemption_Value.

Hindu pilgrims gathering before dawn on the bank of the Ganges river, at the Sangam, during the Kumbh Mela 2013 festival near Allahabad (India)
The Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the Yamuna and the Ganga (Ganges) rivers, and this is the holiest place to take the ritual baths during the Kumbh Mela.
This was the early morning of January 27 (a full-moon night, called Paush Purnima), one of the most auspicious mornings for taking the holy bath. After a 7 km night walk, I arrived at the Sangam area at about 3am, early enough to be well positioned to take a few good photos. The yellowish color is caused by the dim sodium-vapor street lights.
