4/52: A Year of Sundays.

 

I've managed a multi-group photo today :) For FGR, this is for the group Hugs. It also covers off my A Year of Sundays photo and it's a widescreen six word story.

 

Ben's not here tonight (so I am hugging myself in our completely empty new place). It's a really cute little house, but I am still sad about moving.

The place has outdoor and indoor seating.

Old chimney = Bricks start to come loose = Call in an engineer to design a clever "brick catcher gadget" = Make parkers of nearby cars significantly more happy

Due to being blindfolded, I had to measure my own face by touch and try and convert that to the right proportion in the clay. For example, how many fingers between the eyebrows and the forehead. Eye sockets and a beginning of a nose was then attempted while measuring my face.

My friends, Seattle artists Pam Gray & Anne Baumgartner, turned the chain link fence around the site of the old Sunset Bowl in Ballard into a summer art installation. Incorporating the alphabet and Ballard neighborhood character into their work on recycled or recyclable materials, they gave the community, which misses very much the 24 hour bowling ally that used to fill this lot, something to enjoy and smile about.
