This is far from the delicate, ethereal image I had in mind when I `shot' this flower. My macro lens brought out all of the imperfections in the petals, so I went the opposite route, and processed this in Analog Efex Pro, applying a texture and various other effects.

I'm not 100% happy with the composition either. I think I should have included a little more of the centre of the flower at the bottom of the image. Heyho!

No, I didn't add any water to this Geranium petal. This is as I found it after a rain at the Wynn Nature Center. I find it interesting how the water acts as a magnifying glass to the cellular structure of the flower petal.

I heard a distant horn on the morning of Tuesday, July 20th and figured it was the MN&S Job making its way south. I set up here in the central part of St. Louis Park where the track curve through the Library Lane and Lake Street intersection. An old Ford pickup added for a nice photo prop.

I recently came back from a trip where I again visited the Redwoods and everytime I had gotten unlucky as the Redwoods is a very specific place for weather - you need fog and sun !!

Anyways after heading down the coast I decided to give up on the Redwoods and head home but on my drive home that night I could not see five feet in front of me so I decided to wait overnight at the Battery Point Lighthouse - next morning it was even worse for fog but the forecast called for sun so I headed into the Redwoods and found a comp and then waited for about two hours and the sun wait its appearance - One of the best sites I have ever seen ! I had sun rays all day in the Redwoods !
