It's nice and quiet at Disney's Main Street USA. A rare photo, almost without any people, of the detailed but also typical Disney architecture.

Main Street USA - designed to resemble the center of a turn-of-the-century typical American Midwest town of the early 20th century. I has a train station, town square, movie theater, city hall, firehouse with a steam-powered pump engine, emporium, shops, some restaurants, arcades, a double-decker bus, horse-drawn streetcar, and jitneys.

In architecture inspired by Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri (as in the film Lady and the Tramp).

The Castle is home to a dragon, which, at 27 meters (89 ft) from head to tail, was the largest Animatronic figure yet built when the park opened in April 1992. The walkthrough attraction consists of a dimly lit cavern with the large dragon sleeping silently. Occasionally it will 'wake up', puffing smoke and growling. The building also contains La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures. Puerto Dorado village overrun by pirates in search of treasure. The first sight is the town square, where some pirates have kidnapped the mayor, Carlos, and threaten to drown him in a well if he doesn't divulge the location of the treasure. Carlos' wife tells him to be brave and not talk; she is shot at as Carlos is repeatedly dunked in the water while several other captive city officials look on. Captain Jack Sparrow is seen hiding behind some dresses. An auction scene follows, where a pirate auctions off loot from the townspeople to other pirates. A redheaded female pirate is more interested in the town's rum supply, as are the bidders, who ignore the chickens that are currently offered for bidding.

In a next scene, pirates run around chasing women holding trays of food, and two foolish buccaneers who have stolen snacks are chased by an angry woman holding a rolling pin. Just beyond is the "Pooped Pirate" drunkenly waving a map and key to a treasure vault, boasting that Captain Jack Sparrow will never see it. Jack is hiding in a barrel just behind him, popping out and getting a good look at the map over the pirate's shoulder. Off to the side, a pirate by the name of "Old Bill" wants to share rum with a group of terrified alley cats.

Carefree, tipsy pirates succeed in ravaging the town and setting it aflame, filling the night air with an orange glow.

More events- also in the in the 1998 film "The Man in the Iron Mask". In addition, the château appeared in several episodes of "The Revolution". Also "Australia's Next Top Model" had a fashion shoot at the chateau and season 4 of HBOs "The Sopranos". More recently it has featured as the "Palace of Versailles" for BBC/Canal+ production of the TV drama series "Versailles". The place is a major setting of Alexandre Dumas's novel "The Vicomte of Bragelonne: Ten Years Later".

One of the most expensive wedding events was held at the palace in 2004. Vanisha Mittal, daughter of British-Indian steel industrialist billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, held her wedding to Amit Bhatia, a British-Indian economist and businessman, at the château following their engagement ceremony at the Palace of Versailles. Kylie Minogue was paid $330,000 to sing at the wedding and the ceremony was followed by fireworks launched from the Eiffel Tower.

Vaux-le-Vicomte (Est.1658) - a baroque French château on a 33 hectares (100 acres) estate with formal gardens along a three-kilometer axis. Built between 1658 to 1661 as a symbol of power and influence and intended to reflect the grandeur of Nicolas Fouquet, Marquis de Belle Île, Viscount of Melun and Vaux, the superintendent of finances of Louis XIV.

The château was an influential work of architecture in mid-17th-century Europe. The architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André le Nôtre, and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun worked together on this large-scale project. This marked the beginning of the "Louis XIV style" combining architecture, interior design and landscape design. Their next following project was to build Versailles.

Mouth of the source. the actual waterline when the source is surging at maximum is visible in the rock face.

===

Fontaine de Vaucluse (spring) - a karst spring in the commune of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Vaucluse department. The largest spring in France by volume of water released, and ranks fifth among the world's largest springs. The spring, The fountain of Vaucluse, surges in March for about 5 weeks and then subsides. feeds the River Sorgue, is the only exit point of a 1,100-square-kilometre (420 sq mi) underground basin, which captures waters from Mont Ventoux, the Vaucluse Mountains, the Albion Plateau and the Lure Mountain.

In Antiquity the site was a place of ritual offerings. Various exploration dives revealed many ancient deposits of currency en historical objects. and a large collection dating from the 1st century BC to the middle of 5th century AD. The water of this exsurgence contains an average of 200 milligrams per litre (0.00012 oz/cu in) of calcium carbonate, and has an annual flow of about 700,000,000 cubic metres (2.5×1010 cu ft), so the reservoir loses 50,000 cubic metres (1,800,000 cu ft) of limestone each year.

This karstification phenomenon acting on the surface of the impluvium, removes an annual volume of 45 cubic metres (1,600 cu ft) per square kilometre, which disappears after being dissolved in the water.

Fontaine-de-Vaucluse - a small village around the Fontaine de Vaucluse, a spring in a valley at the foot of the Vaucluse Mountains. It is named after the spring, the source of the River Sorgue. The principal point of interest is the source of the Sorgue at the foot of a cliff 240 metres high, the subterranean basin of 1200 km2 feeding the source is -308m deep. It's a nice village to visit with the ruins of a castle, an ancient paper mill and a Resistance-, Petrarch- and Santon museum.
