The old centre consists of impeccably restored stone buildings, with 77 protected monuments it's on France's tentative list for future nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Château de Berbiguières (Est. 12th to 17th century) - a somewhat hidden castle in the Périgord Noir in the small mainly medieval village of Berbiguières. The castle was classified as a historic monument in 1948.
In the second half of the thirteenth century, Château de Berbiguières was owned by the Castelnau family, who also owned the Château de Castelnaud. In 1365, Magne de Castelnau married Nompar de Caumont. Special because later François de Caumont built Château des Milandes around 1489, the main house of the lords of Caumont, who preferred to live in this manor house instead of the large, uncomfortable medieval castle of Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle..

Relaxing and curative power of mineral waters. The Thermes de Spa is a very nice facility to enjoy a relaxing Spa with inside and outside pools filled with water direct from the mineral springs.
---
Details
Thermes de Spa - in the 16th century, the commercialization of the thermal baths began and many spa guests came to Spa. The first bathing establishment was built in 1764 and the city became known as a health resort. A health resort (German: Kurort, English: spa) is a tourist resort that focuses on relaxation and recreation, but with a medical emotional value. A stay in a spa is considered beneficial for health due to medicinal springs, in this case the iron and carbonated water of the thermal baths of Spa, but also the healthy air. In Nivezé there are three springs of which the water is used for the thermal baths of Spa: Marie-Henriette spring, Tonnelet spring and Wellington spring. The term Spa has become a generic term for spa tourism in English and some other languages.
In 1764, the first bathing establishment was built in Spa and the city became known as a health resort, so in 1774 the second casino in Europe was also opened. In the second half of the 19th century, the thermal infrastructure was built as it still exists today. Among the many mainly affluent visitors, the international bourgeoisie, we see names such as Victor Hugo, Tsar Peter the Great, Alexandre Dumas and Giacomo Meyerbeer.

The Atelier Hof 3, a very nice decorated art gallery, lots of pottery products and all unique. An excellent gift shop.
---
Dordrecht - From the historic location of the 'Hof van Nederland' you can walk straight into the narrow Hof alley. Also an old alley with a former fire brigade house (Brandspuithuisje) at number 3. From this house the fire guards (klapwakers) once walked their rounds at night to see if there was a fire.
Today, the small art studio "Atelier Hof 3" is located at this address. The thick wooden doors are open, inviting people to enter the pottery workshop. It's a perfect art gallery to browse through the ceramics in the shop. Inside there is a purely traditional atmosphere, numerous unique handmade ceramic creations let the eye and visitor wander through the store. It's also where the very kind potter often can be seen at work. Behind the shop is a small courtyard, perhaps the smallest courtyard in Dordrecht, which is beautifully decorated with many forms of ceramics. Try to spot the ceramic Dragon, it guards the heat of the shop chimney.

Oostvoorne - Landgoed Mildenburg - Mushrooms
Landgoed Mildenburg - originally the estate dates back to the sixteenth century. In the course of the 18th century, the Van Leyden van Leeuwen family built a country house as a country house and laid out the woods. The house has since been demolished and the garden has become a wilderness. But the estate is now a beautiful nature reserve and managed by the Zuid Hollands Landschap. There are marked walking routes over the old oak avenues, through a beech forest, over the dunes and along a Stinsenplant garden.

Bouquinistes de Paris - iconic booksellers who operate along large sections of the Seine River embankments. Their characteristic green boxes, filled with a diverse array of secondhand and antiquarian books, prints, postcards, and other ephemera, have been a fixture of the Parisian landscape for centuries since the 16th century with itinerant peddlers.
In essence, the "right to sell here" for the Bouquinistes wasn't a one-time purchase of land. Instead, it evolved over centuries from informal peddling to a regulated system of permits granted by the city, based on historical presence and tradition.** This system acknowledges their cultural significance and their long-standing role in the intellectual and artistic life of Paris.
The Bouquinistes are now recognized as an integral part of Paris's identity and have even been designated a **UNESCO World Heritage site** as part of the "Banks of the Seine." This recognition underscores the historical and cultural value of their unique trade and their enduring presence along the river..

At this location a group of five dolmens (D21, D22, D23, D24 and D25) located near the place Borger - Bronneger in the province of Drenthe. Dolmen D21 contained most of the archaeological finds dated to 3400 BC. It is also the most photogenic dolmen due to the huge beech tree. Also a short distance away are two burial mounds from the Bronze Age.

De Hondsrug UNESCO Geopark - Hunebed (Dolmen) - a megalithic burial chamber from the Neolithic (4000-3000 BC) of the Trechterbeker (Funnelbeaker) culture. As a portal grave built from huge stones that were dragged along by the ice from southern Sweden and Finland during the Ice Age for about 150,000 years. There are 52 dolmens in Drenthe and two in Groningen and traces of dolmens have been found in at least thirty other places, but without the large stones. Originally there would have been at least 88 dolmens in the Netherlands.

Tulips, rapidly introduced during the sixteenth century into Europe. During the time of the Tulip mania, an infection of tulip bulbs by the tulip breaking virus created much admired and valued variegated patterns in the tulip flowers. The closest available specimens today are part of the group known as the Rembrandts. Fequently depicted in Dutch Golden Age paintings, today the Netherlands still is the major producer for world markets ever since.

Flying Dutchman Golden Age harbor.
.
The design and architecture of the Flying Dutchman attraction is breathtakingly beautiful. The atmosphere of a VOC harbor from the Golden Age has been incorporated in the building in so many details and features in an original way. More than a hundred different ornaments in this attraction have been designed and produced by Efteling, some in large numbers. A very beautiful version of the saga of "The Flying Dutchman", in person Willem van der Decken, captain of the VOC ship "The Lands Ship of War Delft" from 1783.
