British Railways Class 5MT 45212 climbs Keighley Bank on the 1050 Keighley - Oxenhope Service on 13/11/2022
A day trip to Brighton beach from earlier in the year. The stormy and turbulent weather created some fantastic stormy conditions for atmospheric Landscape photography. This historic pier in Brighton is hugely popular with visitors to the town. It was first opened in 1899 and is over 1,760 feet long.
I often find that the story to a photo is just as good or interesting as the photo it self.
We stumbled across this run down cottage while walking down an empty lane. The condition wasn't right at the time and only fog would do, so the wait was on. On our last full day of the holiday, we got a small chance of fog. A quick visit to Wistmans resulted in a clear sky, so we headed to this little cottage and I got what I wanted. Sometimes you wait days, weeks or months, even years for the right conditions. On this holiday we got everything but snow.
"Atmospheric:" Watching this particular storm approach in Prescott, AZ was definitely an unusual visual treat. Besides all of the lightning, the clouds were moving and swirling about so much that they would change direction and shape from moment to moment, lending an extra fluidity and gracefulness to their ethereal qualities. Here is just one moment where the cloud structure appeared to rotate and lift up from Watson Lake below.

I've spent many hours down at Birling Gap and never get bored of the place. Although I'm usually here to capture an image or two, sometimes I just stand there and take in the view.
We're on holiday for a week and I can only apologise for the weather! Mist and rain, all over Yorkshire for the next few days. We'd planned to visit the reserve at Bempton, hoping to see Gannets and Puffins but there seems little point.
An atmospheric edit of a Giant Waxy Monkey Frog. It's Giant, it looks "Waxy", it's a Frog ... but I'm pretty sure it's not a Monkey!!
Just after sunrise at Mesa Arch in the Sky region of Canyonlands National Park.
Rays of light penetrating through the clouds created a beautiful ambiance adding separation and depth in the canyons and snow-capped peaks of the La Sal Mountains.

Continuing with my new year's resolution of more quickly publishing photos I recently took, here's a vertical panorama I took yesterday during our most recent "atmospheric river," or crazy, insane, two-day downpour for those of you who don't speak meteorology.
Why a vertical panorama in 1:2? I'm not sure, although this isn't the first panorama I've taken like this. It just felt right, I guess. But will anyone ever order a 5' tall print of this? Will anyone ever make a calendar or book in these dimensions? Probably not, although it would look great at over 8300 pixels on the long side!
Thanks for looking!
You'll wanna steer clear of Dugtown's back alleys tonight...
I built this in collaboration with my brother Isaiah, inspired by the Wingfeather Saga. Depending on whether or not you were at BrickWorld, consider this either a teaser for our upcoming Wingfeather Figures or an encore. Shots of the figures will be coming soon.
By the way, I thought trophy scale was big. This scale is insane!
Way fun to build in though. You can do totally different things at a huge scale like this.
Mix of photoshop and real lighting for this--the green mist is real, but a touched up the yellow eye and some other stuff.
