We've seen the launch, return (STS129) and now in it's final resting place. A fitting tribute to Atlantis & the Shuttle programme
Atlantis Submersible Meccha in crawler mode. The outriggers flip down giving the rig a stable base to conduct it's salvage work.
We went to the Atlantis hotel on our second morning, it was pretty cool. This was taken on our way out riding the monorail back through the Palms.

Edited Roscosmos/NASA image of the space shuttle Atlantis and the Russian space station Mir.
Original caption: A view of the Space Shuttle Atlantis departing the Mir Russian Space Station. This image was taken during the STS-71 mission by cosmonauts aboard their Soyuz TM transport vehicle. The scene is backdropped by the Earth's limb.

I finished up remounting the fenders after struggling to get the line right for 35mm tires instead of 42mm tires. And the bars are taped up new and pretty (well, it could be prettier but I'd need to order more tape) and I twined the chainstay instead of just the bit of spare bartape. The bike is mostly clean and shiny now. I also added on the davinci cable splitters so I should be able to pop the bars off and on to trade them out for a set of albatross bars. Finally, I swapped out the brake lever from the tektro levers to a pair of use shimano 105 levers. The shimano levers feel less bulky in my hands.
Oh alright it's not really Atlantis but it is a new development built very close to the sea (I think it's reclaimed land but don't quote me on that) so give it a few years!

It is real.
The Atlantis resort, taken from a small boat as we toured the sea around Nassau, Bahamas. I applied a light texture because the original photo was too blah.

Atlantis Submarines provide an unforgettable underwater journey off the Lahaina coastline. Technologically advanced vessels, these absolutely real submarines carry up to 48 passengers to depths of 100 feet and beyond.
Following two years of preparation, Atlantis sank the Carthaginian replica of a 19th century supply vessel, creating an artificial reef that will have lasting marine life benefit.

Atlantis was the fourth shuttle constructed and the last one to fly into space. It performed well in 25 years of service, flying 33 missions that included secret missions for the U.S. military, ferrying astronauts to and from space stations and launching several probes. The shuttle gained a reputation of being the unsung workhorse of the shuttle fleet because it sent so many satellites into space. It also has the distinction of flying the final shuttle mission before the fleet was retired in 2011.
