More than 100,000 "Asian elephants" may have existed at the start of the 20th century. The population is estimated to have fallen by at least 50% over the last 60-75 years. Major threats are habitat loss, illegal hunting, trade and capture of elephants for domestic use.

このカマキリ、密を吸いに来るツマグロヒョウモンやセセリチョウを狙って花の上の方まで登ってきましたが、自分の体重で花が大きく揺れるので逆にチョウが近づいてきません。
残念！！
Unlike most owls, Asian Barred Owlet is a daytime-active species. It sits around on open perches like this, and drops down onto its prey, which is usually large insects, but also lizards, small mammals and birds. It also goes by the name of Cuckoo Owlet and its scientific name Taenioglaux cuculoides translates as "banded little owl, like a cuckoo". They are a small species, about the same size as a Little Owl. It has a wide distribution across the southern foothills of the Himalayas, right across China and much of mainland SE Asia too. I photographed this one near Tangjiahe in Sichuan, China.
SI Paku Lanang was a song sung by Nona Asiah in 1961 in the film SI Tanggang. This song was taken and re-arranged in the form of Inang beat and is a new creation based on the dance moves that has been reconstructed with the use of the fan as props accompanying this dance. The dance is one of the most popular dances of the National Cultural Complex (Komplek Budaya Negara).
This is before the rains. I can only imagine what Cambodia would look like once the fields are flooded. All that sky. A floating world.

The Asian koel (Eudynamys scolopaceus) bird found in the Indian Subcontinent, China, and Southeast Asia. The Asian koel is a brood parasite that lays its eggs in the nests of crows and other hosts, who raise its young. They are unusual among the cuckoos in being largely frugivorous as adults. The name koel is echoic in origin with several language variants. The bird is a widely used symbol in Indian poetry.

A creative Asian Mystic Composition using ancient Buddhist sculptures. The central figure, from early 14th century Japan, is Nyoirin Kannon (Sanskrit Chintamanichakra Avalokiteshvara), one of the six principal forms of Kannon worshiped in Japanese Esoteric (Vajrayana) Buddhism. All elements modified for this work.
