Here is a 1/72 scale Bristol Spaceplanes Ascender model I'm building from wood.
Carving the airfoil into the top of the wing. It took a really sharp chisel and plane to cut the wood smoothly, as much of the cutting had to happen cross-grain.

Looking up the spiral staircase at McGulpin Point Lighthouse. I'm not sure if I like this one or the black and white version better.
Fresh water spring cavern in Crystal River, Florida. We were supposed to be seeing manatees on this dive since they like to hang out in the brackish water (salt water and fresh water mix), but there were none to be seen. So to save the dive, I headed into this small cave system that was FILLED with fish. This was taken from the cave floor looking up towards the surface, about 70 feet above.
"Winged Figure Ascending", a sculpture by Stephen De Staebler, was installed in March 2012 in The Bosque area near the Hatheway Cultural Center on the Godfrey campus of Lewis and Clark Community College. Born in St. Louis, Staebler was an important figure in the Bay Area Figurative Movement and an internationally celebrated sculptor best recognized for his work in clay and bronze. All you have to do is dump one hundred million billion sunflower seeds into your yard for the birds to eat, and after only six or seven years, one small sunflower will grow!
We ascend to Mount Hakodate only to find the city's scene is completely fog-ed out by the bad weather. Nvm, i will come here in my next life.
