After the concrete ends, the trail becomes uneven dirt and rock. The trail was in the process of a $1 million dollar repair job, due to damage from erosion and traffic from 2500 visitors a day.

WIT:I was getting worried because it was Sunday and I couldn't find anything to inspire me, especially with so many great shots this week. So I got out the camera and figured I should just get something, I turned out to be pleasantly surprised with several shots. I have a feeling this may not go over so well but for some reason Im quite into this shot. Its completely unfocused but its of the stripes painted on my wall. I flipped, cropped and turned up the exposure a little. I feel like this is an abstract painting and it just looks modern. Anyways Im rambling. Bring on the criticism ;-)

These backlit moss sporophytes produce an almost abstract composition as they extend skywards from the leafy gametophytes.

The first tightrope walk of Nik Wallenda's record-breaking performance. Starting at Marina City's West Tower and crossing 600 ft. above the Chicago river before ascending several stories up the rope to the top of the Leo Burnett building.

"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb."

-- Sir Winston Churchill

Taking the long way up to the next level in an art gallery in Bangkok. There was writing from start to end of this long spiral. It was much nicer than taking the stairs or the elevator. The "pose" looks quite strange to me although it was not a pose she was walking as I took the shot. I'll post more pics from the gallery soon.
