This is my After Effects Logo animation for the company Ascend. I re-made their logo and created a simple, but eye-catching logo.

The original plan was to get up early the next morning to attempt the climb under optimal conditions, but with the late arrival and favorable forecasts, we made the decision to get a little more than 4 hours of sleep. Didn't help us at the start though, as we started up the wrong trail! Hey, we still didn't get a full nights worth of sleep...
No worries though, we quickly realized the trail was going up a different part of the mountain and made the adjustment. This photo shows Adam patiently waiting for the rest of us to catch up. Adam was easily the fittest of us all and could have probably climbed the mountain twice that day.
I love playing with long exposure and lights. In this case, our Christmas Tree and some heavy photoshopping. To create the final effect, first I adjusted the hue to my liking. Then I put the same image in two layers, then blurred the top layer. An airbush was used to subtract highlights to bring the strong lines of the light streaks through.
