Detail of the huge window of the north transept (now the Regimental chapel), which is somewhat difficult to appreciate owing to the cluttered stae of this area, beset by decaying banners and hangings from the field of war.

 

It was installed in 1952 and designed by the church architect, Philip Chatwin, and was made at Camm's studio, Smethwick.

 

Christ is shown in Glory at the apex seated on a rainbow, whilst below angels gather the souls of the fallen.

 

The lowest panels have scenes of the Warwick regiment in the costume of Queen Anne's reign marching past both this church and Warwick Castle.

I love color perspective.

And looking back towards the ground. Just when we got to the top, the clouds swarmed in and we couldn't see anything!

 

"Mt. Hua Shan is located in the Shaanxi Province, about 100 kilometres east of the city of Xi'an, near the city Huayin in China. The mountain is one of China's Five Sacred Daoist Mountains, and has a long history of religious significance. The mountain has five main peaks, of which the tallest is the South Peak at 2160 m."

Mt Warning (Wollumbin) is the most significant mountain in Northern NSW. It is also one of the most crowded, with over 1000 people climbing it at peak times. Today is busy, but the views are exemplary due to the crisp clear winter air.

A monochrome moment captured on an escalator ride inside a Mercadona.

Strong leading lines and reflections guide the eye upward, turning an ordinary daily routine into a geometric and almost cinematic experience. The lone figure ahead adds a subtle human presence to this structured, repetitive space.
