Ventelon is a village above the tourist resort of La Grave. It has a spectacular, panoramic position. In front of the Chapelle Saint-Jacques et Saint-Christophe one could sit for hours, enjoying the view in La Meije mountain group.
It was my idea to climb up the side of Winter Corrie... However, the further up we climbed the steeper it got. After scrambling through a vertical bog, we were presented by one final challenge on the ascent: a vertical snow cornice.

I took this photo a long time ago in 2018 at Turnagain arm drive, Alaska. The weather made this amazing place appear out of the world. The impending storm and the landscape illustrated the raw nature. This image gives me a flashback of my whole Alaska trip where vast wilderness made me realize the futility of trivial worries of everyday life. Standing in an ambiance like this makes me appreciate many things we, fortunately, enjoy in our civilized life. Simultaneously, it leads to a feeling of being a part of this vastness that we barely understand.
I haven’t been uploading new photos for a while now, but hoping to get back to photography soon.
