There's always a music for a train.... This is an old one. Its title in Portuguese means "The descending train" :)
This is on the E ridge. On the very right is Katchberg road pass area, in the first mountain streak in the middle, there's the summit of Kareck. On the horizon behind are Niedere Tauern.
Ciprnik is a quite low mountain in the northern part of Julian Alps. In summer, it can be quickly and easily reached from Vitranc, his even lower neighbour above Kranjska Gora. In winter conditions, the last part of ascent requires some more care. (dia scan)

San Miniato al Monte (St. Minias on the Mountain) is a basilica in Florence, standing atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy. There is an adjoining Olivetan monastery, seen to the right of the basilica when ascending the stairs.

One of the main staircases of Dyrham Park's manor house. Admittedly very dark, though I love the atmosphere in these old houses. Everything is extremely dimly lit at the moment to try and avoid any light damage, so this image actually represents something around what you'd expect to see naturally.
I really like how the lines of the staircase work in the composition of this shot, from the bottom left corner to the upper right.

This month I've been working on something that has always proved to be a good creative kick, an alphabet project. One photo a day for the month inspired by a different letter. Here's my image for letter A.

After doctoring this image in post, P60... I mean, "975" charges north, crossing the Mill Creek a second time as it starts it assault on the Old Fort loops.

A long exposure from my local area as the tide swirls around the granite rocks of this area. Actually the rocks are a mixture of granite and Gabro, used to make roads. Serpentine is found nearer the Lizard point.
I liked the calmness to this shot. A few moments peace in a hectic life is never a bad thing :) I tried a new process here, adding a B&W layer to the first colour layer as an overlay, to see if I could mute the heavily pastel colours a bit. I think it sort of works, but would love to know what you think. Thanks for looking, all comments are appreciated.
