An ancient passage in Jaffa/Yafo, Israel, lets the light touch everything, as a mind vehicle connecting past to present and letting us go back in time, as we like it.
As my an hour and 10 minutes late running 12839 Up Howrah Chennai Superfast Mail with SRC WAP-4#22576 curving into Chatrapur Court before Brahmapur it meets a JHS WAG-5B led LPG rake .
As we came over the crest of one of the back roads at Lake Tekapo we stopped to photograph the winding road leading to the snow covered mountains in the distance.

Gerbera L. is a genus of plants in the Asteraceae (daisy family). Gerbera is native to tropical regions of South America, Africa and Asia. Gerbera species bear a large capitulum with striking, two-lipped ray florets in yellow, orange, white, pink or red colours. The capitulum, which has the appearance of a single flower, is actually composed of hundreds of individual flowers. The morphology of the flowers varies depending on their position in the capitulum. The flower heads can be as small as 7 cm (Gerbera mini 'Harley') in diameter or up to 12 cm (Gerbera ‘Golden Serena’). Gerbera is very popular and widely used as a decorative garden plant or as cut flowers. z2_329

As the sun sets over Sedona, AZ, a lone balloon drifts into the atmosphere for sunset ride. The road to the left is the road up to the Sedona Airport which sits atop a mesa above the town.

Today was one of days where it was so beautifully warm and sunny outside that being inside felt oppressive. By the time I made it out from work the clouds had collected and I felt tired and robbed. Still, grey clouds do give that lovely empty sky look so it wasn't all bad!

As the sun comes over the horizion you have just a couple of minutes to catch the Alpine Glow on Mt Rainier!
The Sand Island Lighthouse (also known as the Sand Island Light) is located approximately three miles south from Mobile Point. Originally located on a low lying island of 400 acres, the light stands surrounded by water and massive stones placed to halt the erosion of the island. The tower, which is influenced by the Italianate style, is a 132 foot conical masonry structure which tapers from a width of 40 feet at the base to 17 or 18 feet at the top. It rests on a foundation consisting of double course of sill timbers resting on one hundred seventy-one piles overlaid with 12 feet of concrete. Constructed in 1875, Sand Island Lighthouse is the older of the two remaining lighthouses in the state and is the third to have been erected on this location. A light at Sand Island has marked the entrance to Mobile Bay & the Mobile Ship Channel since 1838. This was the second navigational aid erected for the entrance to the port of Mobile, a light having been established at Mobile Point in 1822. The Frensel lens which has been removed was constructed by Barier and Fenestri in Paris in 1871. Since the construction of the tower several different systems were used for lighting. Originally lard oil lamps were used but were replaced in 1833 by mineral oil lamps. In 1912 an incandescent oilvapor lamp of 17,000 candlepower visible 18 miles at sea was installed and later replaced in 1947 by four nine inch 1000 watt bulbs when the light was automated in 1947. In 1966, the 60,000 candle power beam was dimmed to 8,000 when the new Mobile Point Light took over. The light was finally extinguished and the structure abandoned in 1971. The lens was removed at this time and moved to the nearby Fort Morgan Museum. In 1973, the keepers house was burned. The island were the Sand Island Lighthouse was built, originally 400 acres, had been eroding since the construction and by 1873 was reduced to less than 100 acres. The erosion continued at a rapid pace until between 1873 & 1902 the keepers dwelling was twice removed to more stable ground and several thousand tons of rock were placed around the island & tower. More recently, restoration efforts resulted primarily in stabilization of the island through 2008 and in December 2011 construction of a new island was completed with 1,400,000 yards of sand being dredged from the sea floor and deposited around the lighthouse creating a 2,600 feet by 500 feet, or approximately 15 acres island. Less than a year later the $6,000,000 restoration of the island was washed away by Hurricane Isaac.

As you can probably guess from the title, I managed to get my hands on a "The Batman" set. The Catwoman chase one to be exact. Probably the only one I'm going to get, and boy is it a good one. But we're not here to review sets, we're here to talk minifig updates...again.
From the Batinson minifig I was able to revise the designs for two characters from the unnamed universe, Red Hood and Batman. It was originally only Batman, but nice as the leg printing is, I can't put it on a minifig with a grey torso, the black legs just look wrong. So what I did was swap the legs, Red Hood got Batman's, and Batman got Red Hood's dual molded legs, which look a lot nicer.
The result is actually a lot closer to what I've had in mind for Batman since I came up with him however long ago it was. Admittedly I'd rather the suit was black, but you make do with what you've got.
As for story....maybe there's a Catwoman/Batman type relationship going on, I don't know. There's probably not, cos of the whole "Red Hood is the son of 2/3rds of the crime syndicate" thing, but that's a whole other can of worms I'm not gonna open.
And with that thought in your heads, you're free to return to your scrolling.

As a family, my daughter Alice, mom, Arlene, sister Kris, and myself tooled around the tri-state area to take in the beauty, shopping, wine tasting, and of course, dining. On this particular day, August 23, 2020 we went to the Galena Farmers Market in the Eagle Ridge Territory and stopped at the Highland Restaurant afterwards for a quick snack. Outside the Highland Restaurant where these beautiful flower gardens. Pulled out my IPhone 11 Pro and caught these images on my camera. Or, as we say in Baltimore, "Wish I was downey o-shun, hon".
If you've seen the movie "Hairspray", John Travolta does a pretty good Baltimore accent. I can turn on the Baltimore when I want to, but every now and then, the "o" slips out. We have a way of pronouncing "o's" so it sounds kind of like a smooth "eehhhww". It really pops out when I say "no" and "home".

Taking Flight | Red-tailed Hawk
Have a look at this sequence of images showing a perched Red-tailed Hawk, seemingly a juvenile, lifting and taking to the air with its broad wings. Red-tailed Hawks are one of the most common raptors of our region. It is a robust bird also known as “chickenhawk” south of the border, although it rarely preys on standard-size chickens. Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
As the Storm Season comes towards an end, there have been some pretty special "after dark" storm that have come through in the past month or so.
This one a couple of Tuesday's back was by far, the pick of the bunch.
