This dress is not as yellow as it looks its more on the orange side of yellow if you know what I mean. Either way it didn't matter what I did I still look like a daffodil :-(

Hyacinth Bucket "It's pronounced Bouquet" was fond of saying weak as water when someone was acting in a weak or indifferent way.
10:30 last nigh (2330) a thunderclap broke loose, enough to shake the windows in the house. All right, I thought, the storms have arrived and I'm going to catch them. I headed out to my local spot and set up, anticipating the great show that was coming up.
Unfortunately the great storm turned out to be "weak as water" and this is the best of what I got. I called the pursuit at 11:30 (2330) and headed back home, once again disappointed in the show that Mother Nature had decided to put on. Hopefully she'll get her act together and give the viewing audience the show they deserve.
The weather guesser is calling for storms today so with any luck I'll have something better to present tomorrow!
Not as sharp as I'd like (although I do like the motion blur of the wings), but I wasn't expecting all the action from the crows chasing the owls or for this one to fly from behind me and right at me.
I found myself in his flight-line as he headed for the safety of a tree behind me as he was being chased by a Crow.
(... and then he veered away from me to land on my car door in the shot a few posts back ...)

As the White River snakes its way down the southern slope of Mt. Hood, it reflects a tiny bit of color from an otherwise dud-of-a-sunrise. That's zero for two now at this spot for the season. :-(
As the storm neared it developed this double and then triple stacked shelf cloud. The core was getting mean looking, it was green but had been turned yellow by the reddish setting sun behind the storm. COOL!

Built in 1982 by Cant. Nav. Reuniti SpA, Palermo (yard no. 902) as a train ferry for Ferrovie della Stato. Converted to a ro-ro cargo vessel in 2005 and operated by BluVia - R.F.I. laid up in Civitavecchia in 2009 and sold to Turkish breakers as BAL the following year.
As some of you may know, I am crazy about tennis. And this year, I will be able to see a live match at a grand slam! Just booked my tickets last week! I'm so excited :D
As seen in Rothenburg ob der Tauber after a drizzly walk. On the way back to the hotel I had to pass through the Marktplatz once more.

As the night began to appear and a last capture of the day was taken the battery went dead, then the deer came to drink and watched a couple of pelicans land and join the two already resting across the water by the shore. A look at the now darkened sky and listen to the sounds of night before stumbling back to the vehicle with camera and walking stick in hand.
