The ability to create a picture just by thinking about how it looks and then sketching it is beyond me. Thankfully, it is not beyond artists like this craftsman at Silver Dollar City. Another study in the hands that I love.

I have A LOT of various sketches around my house as well as art materials. So I thought, why not use them for one of my photos;) As much as I miss having to draw weekly for my drawing class, I don't really miss much about college. This photo is particularly nostalgic, because it brings back the best memories about the past 7 years. Some of the acrylic paint on the floor is all dried, because I had it since high school...

"The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Do not be tempted to just walk right in, even though it's a convenient stop on your sightseeing tour. I've had better food at WAFFLE HOUSE.
We stopped in for breakfast. It was among the worst meals I've ever had. The eggs in my cheese omelet were classically overcooked, which wasn't so bad, but the omelet was filled with some food-service version knockoff of Kraft cheese slices. Hours later, I can't get the taste of it out of my mouth. The hash browns were more like frozen, reheated potato mush that's been warmed over. The greek cofee ($3.50) was decent, but served in a tiny, tiny cup that was half-sludge. My partner's two eggs were fried into rubbery oblivion.
28 crazy overpriced bucks for the worst breakfast of my life, counting the meals I've had on airplanes and in school cafeterias. Our waiter was nice, but had a strange air about him that, in retrospect, we can probably best categorize as "pity."

Visited the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone on at least one occasion during a past visit but never bothered to stop at Artist Point for some unknown reason. Decided to stop there early one morning & was absolutely amazed by the sheer beauty of this place.
Portsmouth Street Games event held at Guildhall Square. The arena showcased mountain bike and free running displays from local performers; there was a market with many favourite local traders; and local street artists brought colour and style to the square, working on boards and a replica subway train.

The program featured a star-studded red carpet, and live performances.
It took place at Stage 48 in NYC on December 11, 2013.

My latest in the dime store dollies project. This was one of those truly ugly Bratz baby rip off dolls. Her head and limbs kept falling off. I remounted the head using elastics around the neck knob to hold it firm, and glued the arms and legs into place using a type of white glue, but much stronger.
She was primed and them hand painted with artists acrylics. I painted her T-shirt and added little "dance pants” striped stockings and Mary-Jane shoes in paint.
I really like the way her eyes turned out this time.
