La hoja de la ventana, con su postigo incluido, hace honor, en su disposición, a punto de caer, al estado de franca decadencia en que este viejo edificio se encuentra.

The entire window leaf, in its disposition, almost about to fall, clearly symbolizes the state of steep decay that this old building suffers.

A white feather found in the park, no doubt left by a pigeon sprucing itself up. It measures 5cm end to end.

6 image focus stack, 2s delayed shutter, flash on 1/2 power, slightly cropped (3:2), converted to monochrome, a little cloning to clean the background; all in Affinity Photo.

Climbed these with my GLW on the day before lockdown. Probably the last bit of outside exercise for a while.

Loved the light in the background to this falling leaf

The Three Sisters and the S Bends

So pleased to be able to get out and about again with a camera. I spent some time standing under trees on this particular morning. A local park - pre breakfast. I took my lightweight Panasonic DMC-GM1 so not heavy to lift. Successful and pain free! Whoo hoo! I so prefer the Canon though and think I will try that today for a short time. If nothing else it will exercise my muscles on the right side! Ha ha

Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.

Proof if it was needed things are back to normalish. Towns & villages in rural Scotland are getting back to hosting festivals etc. This is the Rankin File Drama Group's float on gala day yesterday. Couldn't resist getting some shots of them they were so colourful. Not sure if they won a prize but they deserved too.

We enjoyed the sunshine yesterday :). I took this at Teggs Nose Country Park, Cheshire (that's Shutlingsloe in the background!).

Thanks for looking!

From my window early morning...

A brief moment of the light rays lighting up this small tree within the forest.

While on a wonderful trip to Fort Lauderdale with great friends, captured on the Intracoastal Waterway at Shooters Waterfront

I was inspired towards a dose of surrealism today by a wonderful photographer Catherine Sienko.

It's summer and will soon be harvest time.

When the weather forecast is for early fog set your alarm and grab a camera.

Gentle river ripples on a misty morning at Thurne in the Norfolk Broads

I have a couple of local places, around a 3 mile walk after work. On this occasion it was a full on storm last week, howling wind and passing rain bursts. All happening at sunset. Well an hour before sunset, the sunset didn’t really happen, so it just goes to show all times of the day is a good time. I hope you like this shot, it’s one of my local favs, well one of my favs for this year.

Here's one from the summer... I found it surprisingly difficult to photograph a squirrel running... they're so fast! I sat for ages, waiting, with peanuts as bait ;-)

Thanks for all the likes and comments!

The fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) is a member of the thrush family Turdidae. It breeds in woodland and scrub in northern Europe and across the Palearctic. It is strongly migratory, with many northern birds moving south during the winter. It is a very rare breeder in the British Isles, but winters in large numbers in the United Kingdom, Southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

A walk in the long wet grass.

This was to be upload number 1,000 to Flickr. Who else could I dedicate it to? He accompanies me on my all my outdoor shots, although he may have spoiled a few, but hey...he's the man. Well...dog..

And the very observant amongst you, especially my very good friend Jim Frazier, are seeing my total photo count at 999 at this point. Evidently there was a counting issue (caching) showing me 1,000 but showing you 999 and which Flickr have kindly reset for me. So we opened the champagne and dog biscuits a little prematurely…!

Sometimes the opposite side of a sunset can be just as beautiful. In a recent post you saw the beautfiul the sunset at Usery Mountain Regional Park. A storm was brewing over the mountains opposite the sunset and provided this amazing vista.

Winter Returns

A quick shot after work, the story of winter continues with this tree I have always thought about trying to use in the right conditions.

Football fever once again grips a nation, expectations run high, only to be dashed by cruel fate. And a penalty shootout. Probably…

It was too bright a day for colour photography. But what a stunning harbour it is. Lovely beach too with a group of ladies doing Yoga & others swimming.

In-camera multiple exposure and then edited for colour in lightroom

Venice Fishing Pier, Florida. Back from travels for a couple of weeks and a break from social media. Glad to be back and looking forward to seeing some of your posts that I missed. While away I did take some photos, including this one.
