An early drive back from Scotland and the sunrise was promising with thick mist and a slight frost. Who could resist a trees, water and soft light?

North Berwick Pier sunrise.

So pleased to be able to get out and about again with a camera. I spent some time standing under trees on this particular morning. A local park - pre breakfast. I took my lightweight Panasonic DMC-GM1 so not heavy to lift. Successful and pain free! Whoo hoo! I so prefer the Canon though and think I will try that today for a short time. If nothing else it will exercise my muscles on the right side! Ha ha

Main was appearing with his Father Skud at Hangefest in Strathaven. Which had it's roots as a festival out at tone of the aircraft hangers at our local airfield which is for a glider club. It has since spilled into all the Pubs, cafes & restaurants in the town. It's a really successful event and draws people from all over into the town. Skud & Main Shaw are a couple of local musicians who play a mix of country & rock music. Including one of my favourite "Stones" tracks "Sweet Virginia". Not quite Glastonbury but great fun.

So, after a long day perusing the sleek racers or those upstart foreign 2 seaters we summon our chauffeur and head for home in comfort.

We planted a small cherry tree in our garden in the late summer of 2021 but this is the first year it has shown blossom. Already a survivor of several windstorms, frost and snow I intend recording its progress over the seasons to come. Hence an album for the purpose, to be updated from time to time. ⬇️

Not much to say about this one, except that it was my wife who first pointed it out to me a while ago so all I had to do was figure out the best way to capture it. No pressure then…but she likes this take (as do I) so that’s ok.

The UK's favourite bird - with its bright red breast it is familiar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown.....

La hoja de la ventana, con su postigo incluido, hace honor, en su disposición, a punto de caer, al estado de franca decadencia en que este viejo edificio se encuentra.

The entire window leaf, in its disposition, almost about to fall, clearly symbolizes the state of steep decay that this old building suffers.
