JT took this in a market in Budapest, I do believe. Somewhere in Europe, for that matter. He's a very talented man.

I was inspired to take this shot (I have been meaning to for over a year but haven't had the right equipment) by a picture taken by kwerfeldein, which is particular favourite of mine. See below.

Strobist info: SB-800 fired through white umbrella, above left, manual 1/4 power (I think!), slightly covered the onboard flash to remove direct light.

And there the apple was
Gold and tempting
Begging to be eaten
And take her breath away

After reading a tutorial in the 'Tabletop Photography' group I decided to give this technique of achieving high gloss reflections a try.
I only had a bit of time so I grabbed the nearest thing to hand which happened to be an apple!
Actually it's apple on iPad... Which is now broken... so it's a 600 dollar reflective glass surface... (don't get me started).
I'm still mourning Steve so I forgive them.. I guess.
It took a while, but this year's apple harvest has been safely gathered; One eater and the rest went into tonight's pork and apple casserole.
My brother took this shot. If you have seen any of my photos they are mostly by him. He is a wonderful photographer and enjoys me putting photos up for him. I hope he likes this shot!

Food assignment. I hate food photography. I really do. That's why this is so boring and average - because I DON'T CARE.
Yeah.
