I am fortunate to live close to the Starnberger See, with view to the alps from my home.
Therefore I have a large collection of photos with mountains, water and clouds,
Constructive critic and positiv feedback is always welcome.
Brianne and Holly take the Blue Ribbon at the Horse Park of New Jersey during the first competition of the season. Holly is a rescue Hackney Pony that lives with us. A very competitive pony that just didn't fit into the previous owner's program and was given up on.
I've been off shooting this week but will return soonest.

Lords-and-Ladies or Arum maculatum. A perennial found in woodland and hedges. The fruits consist of bright red berries in a spike during the Autumn months.

Admittedly, it was a big crop, but it was really nice to see the adult and the young eaglet be in the same space. I wonder what the adult might have been communicating to its offspring?

The texture and shapes of the weathered cliffs along this coast are superb. Even though I was chasing landscapes yesterday, I couldn't resist one of the wonderful patterns. No title would be suitable, so Cease and Desist by Brakes is as good as any.

I enjoyed a beautiful weekend walking Sarah Duke gardens and checking out the eagles at Jordan Lake. I was pleased to see some hellibores and trillium blooming as well as buds showing on the trees! What can I say? Love and Happiness! :-) Enjoy your week my friends! ~Sam

Das MKM —
Kulturkern seit 1865

Shade and Scenery warm day in the mountains umbrellas made for a bit of cool and the plants provided some beauty.

OLEG and PETER are at BERNUS BARKULA's castle. They have food, drink and a place to sleep. BERNUS found them deep in the forest and is happy with this find. He is lonely and sad. He was once dumped by his owner and has lived in an abandoned castle ever since. OLEG and PETER's sleeping place inside a clock. PETER is scared and cannot sleep. OLEG keeps an eye on everything.

Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice. ~ Robert Frost
Yellow and Blue - I just hope this transfers the necessary sentiment.
This Lanner Falcon was photographed in the wild in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Bernus and Hakus are sitting in front of the window, looking out.
BERNUS:
Bernus ...... I see a hot air balloon.
HAKUS:
Where. I do not see anything.
BERNUS:
Then you should have glasses with stronger lenses.
The balloon is heading our way.
Oh ..... Look! It's Peter and Oleg who are in it.
HAKUS:
Where?
BERNUS:
You are now looking to the right, you must look to the left.
HAKUS:
You're right!
Where are they going to land, I wonder.
BERNUS:
On the grass ... at least ... if they go a little lower with that balloon.
Can we help them Hakus?
HAKUS:
Too late!
peace and happiness are the nature of your being and you share your being with everyone and everything.
Peter and Oleg are still at Anholt Castle. The fog is now gone.
PETER:
Oleg! There is a ladder against the wall. Someone climbs up.
OLEG:
Who is it?
PETER:
No idea.
.........
Hey guys!
I'm Bob the Butler and I'm here to help you.
Two bears named Scout and Bruno told me the story about the fog and how scared you are.
You do not have to be scared. That often happens here. Cheshire cat sometimes lives here. He comes and goes like this.
I'll help you down. It's your turn first, Peter. Give me a paw.
And that's how Peter and Oleg come back safely to the ground and look for mommy Marian

There are not many mushrooms in my woods, but I sure have a lot of photos of them :-) They are so cooperative..they just stand there and they don't even bend in the breeze like flowers do...

I can't grasp how the light brought out those colors from a murky brook. I have another work in the pipeline which shows the exact same color gradient. And I didn't even have to push in editing, this is quite close to the RAW file!
Wind and Rain some of the weather from the recent hurricane made it here, strong winds and heavy rains left some more leaves and limbs on the ground, shot in North Carolina.
