CNW train ESGBA leaves Powers behind after doing the local work and connecting with the turn from Antoine on June 25, 1986. 6729, 6712 and 4140 have the Green Bay bound freight well in hand on a beautiful summer morning. The trailing geep is an unpleasant reminder that the Bigs are on borrowed time and will not survive 1986 in service. Only a couple months prior to this shot and the B-B trailer would have likely have been a C425 or RS32 but they were already retired and on there way to St. Louis Auto Shredding.

You've already heard me saying on a couple of occasions that I have already shared my favorite fireworks picture.

Yet, the more I share, the more I unearth treasures that were once hidden in the mass of its fireworks counterparts.

This one is now my favorite.

These two cute little masked bandits already look full of mischief! Once they saw me, they quickly scooted away.

I already did fruit splash but for this one, I worked from top. I sure feel nervous about the camera over fist tank but everything goes okay and I got the image I was looking for.

Well, I already did Jack Stone.

Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension was a Fox Kids TV show from 2002 centered upon Nick Bluetooth and his best friend Allegra Zane, led by an extraterrestrial map to a spacecraft nicknamed the Egg, which moves them into an "Outer Dimension" threatened by Gorm. The two now protect the eponymous dimension, and to defeat Gorm, Nick must find all the pieces of a key that will unlock the sealed gates to the kingdom of Galidor, one of many realms comprising the dimension. It ran for 26 episodes and also got a fantastic poster from Drew Struzan, who you might recognize for his Star Wars and Indiana Jones posters, among others.

Galidor also led to one of the least successful LEGO lines ever. It had weird big buildable figures with few connection points. I was like 6 so I kinda liked them.

Despite the research I did, including copying the plot summary from Wikipedia, I don't really know who these people are, but I'll describe them to the best of my knowledge.

From left to right:

Euripides: the wise old man.

Nepol: the sidekick alien.

Jens: the sidekick robot.

Allegra: the best friend.

Nick Bluetooth: the protagonist.

Gorm: the big bad.

Ooni: a bad alien.

Tager: the rarest bad alien.

Aquart: another bad alien.

Already done a minifig scale MOC for The Walking Dead back in BrickFair NJ 2014. Though there have been other scenes considered to be done, this microscale MOC was more of an afterthought after taking stock of the masonry profile bricks needed for the Pisamban Maragul project. Needed more of the Light Bluish Gray (LBG) but stumbled upon Dark Bluish Gray (DBG), Sand Green and a bag of these Medium Dark Flesh color from the Bulk LUG order last year.

Like any AFOL would think "What can I build with these bricks?" that have literally been sitting in the same plastic bag since I received the order. The commercial for TWD pops up on the TV screen...

"Build what inspires you!"

"Just an old faded photograph of you,

one I always will treasure more than gold..." from an old country song.

I am missing seeing my beautiful dahlias. There are one or two hanging on but most have finished, including this one...night silence. I have a few more dahlia images that I may still post to brighten up my feed.

Waddesdon Manor is a country house in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, England. The house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839–1898). Since this was the preferred style of the Rothschild's it became also known as the Goût Rothschild. The house, set in formal gardens and an English landscape park, was built on a barren hilltop overlooking Waddesdon village. The last member of the Rothschild family to own Waddesdon was James de Rothschild. He bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust in 1957. Today, following an extensive restoration, it is administered by a Rothschild charitable trust that is overseen by Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild. In 2007–08 it was the National Trust's second most visited paid-entry property, with 386,544 visitors. The Baron wanted a house in the style of the great Renaissance châteaux of the Loire Valley. The Baron, a member of the Viennese branch of the Rothschild banking dynasty, chose as his architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur. Destailleur was already experienced in working in this style, having overseen the restoration of many châteaux in that region, in particular that of the Château de Mouchy. Through Destailleur's vision, Waddesdon embodied an eclectic style based on the châteaux so admired by his patron, Baron Ferdinand. The towers at Waddesdon were based on those of the Château de Maintenon, and the twin staircase towers, on the north facade, were inspired by the staircase tower at the Château de Chambord. However, following the theme of unparalleled luxury at Waddesdon, the windows of the towers at Waddesdon were glazed, unlike those of the staircase at Chambord. They are also far more ornate. The structural design of Waddesdon, however, was not all retrospective. Hidden from view were the most modern innovations of the late 19th century including a steel frame, which took the strain of walls on the upper floors, which consequently permitted the layout of these floors to differ completely from the lower floors. The house also had hot and cold running water in its bathrooms, central heating, and an electric bell system to summon the numerous servants. The building contractor was Edward Conder & Son. The towers were modelled on the staircase towers of Château de Chambord. One of the twin staircase-towers inspired by those at the Château de Maintenon. Once his château was complete, Baron Ferdinand installed his extensive collections of French 18th-century tapestries, boiseries, furniture and ceramics, English and Dutch paintings and Renaissance works of art. Extensive landscaping was carried out and the gardens enhanced with statuary, pavilions and an aviary. The Proserpina fountain was brought to the manor at the end of the 19th Century from the Palace of the Dukes of Parma in northern Italy: the Ducal Palace of Colorno. The gardens and landscape park were laid out by the French landscape architect Elie Lainé. An attempt was made to transplant full-grown trees by chloroforming their roots, to limit the shock. While this novel idea was unsuccessful, many very large trees were successfully transplanted, causing the grounds to be such a wonder of their day that, in 1890, Queen Victoria invited herself to view them. The Queen was, however, more impressed by the electric lighting in the house than the wonders of the park. Fascinated by the invention she had not seen before, she is reported to have spent ten minutes switching a newly electrified 18th-century chandelier on and off. When Baron Ferdinand died in 1898, the house passed to his sister Alice de Rothschild, who further developed the collections. Baron Ferdinand's collection of Renaissance works and a collection of arms were both bequeathed to the British Museum as the "Waddesdon Bequest". During World War II, children under the age of five were evacuated from London and lived at Waddesdon Manor. Following Alice de Rothschild's death in 1922, the property and collections passed to her great-nephew James A. "Jimmy" de Rothschild of the French branch of the family, who further enriched it with objects from the collections of his late father Baron Edmond James de Rothschild of Paris. When James de Rothschild died in 1957, he bequeathed Waddesdon Manor, 200 acres (0.81 km2) of grounds and its contents to the National Trust, to be preserved for posterity. The Trust also received their largest ever endowment from him: £750,000 (£15,310,270 as of 2014).

Already over seven hours late, Amtrak 7, the Westbound Empire Builder departs out of Chicago, IL.

Depending on the exposure some areas were already free of snow. But still too much to take the walk without the proper snow shoes.

Description in English and Dutch:

I already uploaded photos of the Westduinpark in The Hague near Scheveningen. Wednesday I was in the same park, but then the part near Kijkduin. This is photo number 7 in the new series. It is an impressive dune area that runs approximately from Scheveningen harbor to Kijkduin. There are Scottish Highlanders in the protected nature reserve to control the vegetation and there is really a lot to see in terms of flora and fauna. It is a combination of dunes, open sand area and forest. It is very special there because dunes and forests alternate and sometimes merge into one another. On warm sunny days, a lot of women walk barefoot on the sandy areas, to experience the ultimate feeling of freedom. There are hiking trails as well as cycle paths and horse riding trails in the very interesting park. A lot of people are really impressed by the vegetation, bunkers from the Second World War, steep dune hills and the impressive viewpoints. The view at those points of the beach and the sea and on the other side the buildings of the city is truly phenomenal. Come there once and experience a invisible blanket of oasis and peace. You will imagine yourself in a kind of paradise where worries and problems do not exist and where the war of thoughts in everyone's head disappears like snow in the sun for a moment in time, because freedom is in each of us.

The horrible summer is fast approaching. Temperatures have already gone over 18 degrees celcius which is the cut off point from being tolerable. Fans on full!

This is the first time ever I have gotten a new jigsaw puzzle and it arrive already put together! So in order to work the puzzle, I have to take it apart. Then put it back together. And resist the temptation to cheat in some way. At least I know all the pieces are there!

Already uploaded pictures from this photoshoot but I wanted to share one with actual rain in it (even if it is FAKE rain). Man I love photoshot & black & white photos!

Judging by the rather bland exterior, if you drove by this abandoned building you might not give it a second thought. Looking like an old garage or maybe a large falling down wooden shed, you would be mistaken to think this would be a boring location. Once inside you realise how unique and special this one really is!

This somewhat smaller building was last used as a ceramic studio/storefront. As far as I can tell the building has not been used in at least a couple of decades and judging by the bay door, leftover invoices and all the car parts in the attic, this building was used as an automotive shop before being converted into an art studio. It was absolutely jam packed full of greenware (unfired ceramics), ceramic moulds as well as finished ceramics. The artist just locked the door one day and never returned. An absolute joy of a time capsule to explore and just so unique.

Have FUN!♥

I had the book on the left already, then the one on the right about making the mice was a gift from Santa this year : )

Christel makes her mice by creating an armature, then covering it with polymer clay, then flocking. She doesn't sell them, so she created this book to teach people how to make them. Isn't that cool?

She is a member of IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans) for her mini food. She also creates wonderful homes for her mice. Here is her blog...a wondrous place!!

Today I’m not afraid for Ukraine. I feel that it just has to win and liberate itself from the Putin’s army. (Earlier I explained why I don’t want to call it “Russian army” and I’d like to hear from you what you think about it). Though of course I’m suffering for dear Ukrainian brothers and sisters and feel all that horror and death that hit those land. But I’m afraid that we Russians will lose our country and a lot of us wouldn’t even notice that.

To be continued…

Also, I want to speak with people about this nightmare times, to show, to see and to listen. To do something together. I think that what I’m doing now is the “photo-diary from the other side” with the unique opportunity to show life in the country when its doors are closing. So, I’m very welcome you to stay in touch with me on Insta, which now turned to the main site of the Digital Resistance in Russia in spite of becoming the outlaw social media or maybe partly because of that. As well as on other social resources. Though I’ve abandoned them for now or barely even started, but I’ll be back. Hopefully.
