The drink was already waiting for him on the counter when he came in. Good. He needed it. He sat down and poured himself a shot, even before he took off his jacket. What did it matter right? He had one hell of a day and this was one step into forgetting it ever happened.
Yes, it was beautiful whilst it lasted but the snow is already all gone and we are now back to our more typical rainy, mild weather.

Olympus have a new Macro Lens,
30mm F3.5 Macro, it also have great image quality
and it is smaller, and cheaper.
As a Cooperation Photographer I use and test this lens for few month already,

I didn't think my first shot in November would be in snow, but nature loves to throw surprises I guess. Here 5338 leads this ore train south through Culver on their way to Proctor.
Time goes very fast. It's December already. Year 2009 is around the corner.

I love the way shapes come in all different sizes and guises!! Posting this a little early as I never have time to stop and play in the morning, but for some it's Tuesday already!! HPPT!
The flowers are already beginning to wither and the leaves of the trees are changing color. Autumn is just around the corner.

Red squirrel in my hometown park :) They already looking for a food after Winter.
The red squirrel or Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) is a species of tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus common throughout Europe and Asia. The red squirrel is an arboreal, primarily herbivorous rodent. In Great Britain, Ireland, and in Italy numbers have decreased drastically in recent years. This decline is associated with the introduction by humans of the eastern grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) from North America. The red squirrel is found in both coniferous forest and temperate broadleaf woodlands. The squirrel makes a drey (nest) out of twigs in a branch-fork. Tree hollows and woodpecker holes are also used. Squirrels are hunted by martens and birds of prey. The red fox, cats and dogs also can prey upon the red squirrel when it is on the ground.

Jest pospolita na terenie całej Polski, głównie w parkach oraz lasach liściastych. Zamieszkuje również lasy iglaste. Na Wyspach Brytyjskich oraz w północnych Włoszech wiewiórka pospolita zagrożona jest z powodu ekspansji wiewiórki szarej, inwazyjnego gatunku sprowadzonego z Ameryki Północnej. Pożywienie wiewiórki pospolitej stanowią nasiona (w tym z szyszek, bukwi, żołędzie i orzechy) i pączki drzew, grzyby, owoce, ale także owady, jaja i pisklęta. Jesienią gromadzą zapasy żywności. Wiewiórka pospolita zamieszkuje dziuple, które utyka porostami i mchami, lub gniazda ptaków, dobudowując zadaszenie lub sama buduje gniazda z gałęzi. Na wiewiórki polują kuny i ptaki drapieżne.

Adam and I went and played tourists there and had a blast... even thought he refused to dance with me !

I’m now already for more then four month in Hamburg but didn’t shoot a lot here… I guess that’s just how it always is during a masters thesis ;) Nevertheless I enjoy shooting and being a little creative even more…

Not the best photo but this is the moment I found out there was three chicks in the nest and the only time I got all three together so it is special to me. One of the chicks has already fledged and the other two are now sitting on a branch because part of the nest broke :-(. I am sure it won't be long before they fledge also. I got some nice pics of mama owl yesterday and will post one soon.
As I already explained, I only had my zoom lens on my camera when I visited Nancy. It was therefore impossible for me most often, to my great regret, to take overall views of the monuments I saw.
Here, I fortunately found a reflective half sphere placed on the sidewalk. You could admire a reflection of the cathedral there. By taking this sphere from afar, I was able to restore with my zoom lens an original overall view of this building.

La cathédrale de Nancy en reflet
Comme je l'ai déja expliqué, je n'avais que mon objectif zoom sur mon appareil photo lorsque j'ai visité Nancy. Il m'était donc impossible le plus souvent, à mon grand regret, de prendre des vues d'ensemble des monuments que j'ai vus.
Ici, j'ai heureusement trouvé une demi sphère réfléchissante posée sur le trottoir. On pouvait y admirer un reflet de la cathédrale. En prenant cette sphère de loin, j'ai ainsi pu restituer avec mon zoom une vue d'ensemble originale de cet édifice.

Is it weekend already? I don’t think that I had a longer week in a while but moments like this give me a bit of peace. It’s always relaxing when working on images. This is another frozen frame from the few weeks ago shot as vertical pano. What do you think?
Just a couple of murals today as time is short for us. We were only at the Stem and Vine Plant Nursery (Nurso) at Chandler a couple of weeks ago and already things have changed. You will notice that Drapl, one of the most famous of the street/mural artist has done the mural on the left and the blank space on the right is "Reserved for Sofles". Well, you don't want to tarry because Drapl has just been back and filled in the blank space with a fabulous work called the Mood Lifting Project. The project was about Drapl doing a free mural in a public space with no limitations or boundaries just bright colours, a face and a nice message.
" It makes me happy to paint in these bright bold colours and to put some smiles on some faces and try to uplift." Isn't that what we all need now!
Isn't that wonderful. So now you will have to wait until we go back and get another shot of the whole wall.

Swipe taking your best shots with full force and no holding back as I will come searching for, hunting you in the dark whispers of a celestial night standing in the shadows at the very gates of hell where I announce my presence with wailing GRROWWLLLZ while making my way through the labyrinth crawling on my bleeding cursed hands and knees dragging my persecuted feet in shame to the depths of your lair where time stands still for eternity unleashing my wrath.... Pinning you down into the deep gritty earth of consumed souls with my foot as I tare your fucking tail off with my bare hands shoving it down your throat feeding it to you whole, allowing you to breathe solely through your nostrils while taking in overwhelming contentment watching you wide eyed with dilated pupils as you gag, splatter and choke…. Slowly peeling the scales off your body one by one with my fingernails watching in amusement as they weep.... Using your horns as reins while chewing through your thoracic anatomy with clotted blood dribbling down my face, neck and all over my torso as my GRROWWLLLZ echo off the chamber walls and throughout the labyrinth while looking deep into your soul through the window of your besieged eyes begging me for redemption as I drink in sacrifice warm foaming blood with every last heartbeat from your squirting aorta punishing you for all my failures and sins if you fail your calling and duty
Revive me each time when I fade to die as there is no glory in death without a journey full of suffering and pain, I seek retribution and wish to have consciousness while relishing in your inflictions 🔪🔪🔪 upon me

I have already shown you this wild teasel covered with an ice crust, which I found near Děčín in the Bohemian Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
In the earlier photo it was standing some distance away on the side of the path. As I already explained back then, it was very difficult for me to integrate the many inflorescences into a harmonious close-up.
Of course, I tried it anyway and did a few laps around the plant before I decided on this angle.
Finally I wanted to show you this delicate flower covered in ice crystals up close.
Diese, mit einer Eiskruste überzogene Wilde Karde, die ich in der Nähe von Děčín in im böhmischen Elbsandsteingebirge gefunden habe, habe ich Euch schon einmal gezeigt.
In dem früheren Foto stand sie in einiger Entfernung am Rand des Weges. Wie ich damals bereits ausgeführt hatte ist es mir sehr schwer gefallen die vielen Blütenstände in eine harmonische Nahaufnahme zu integrieren.
Versucht habe ich es natürlich trotzdem und habe dazu einige Runden um die Pflanze gedreht, bevor ich mich für diesen Blickwinkel entschieden habe.
Denn diese filigrane mit Eiskristallen überwucherte Blume wollte ich Euch schon auch einmal aus der Nähe zeigen.
