Under the microscope, there is a (small) point which can be seen on tip of arrow on the left screen, this point moves over a surface (like a needle on an LP) the movement of the needle is monitored on the screen on the right side (shows differences in height for an area of 15*15 um) (um is 1/10.000 part of a cm)

Represents Bristol RELH6G & Ls as operated by Bristol Greyhound. Carl Berry. Seen at 4th Bristol Vintage Bus Rally and Running day on 12/8/07.
