AFM 103G Bristol RELH6G,ECW purchased by Crosville in 1969 for London to Liverpool express services. Withdrawn in 1981 and used by 2 schools before entering preservation in 1994. At this time represented Bristol RELH6G & 6Ls as operated by Bristol Greyhound of which none survive. Despite other Crosville RELH6Gs being preserved some people didn't approve of Greyhound livery on Crosville coach. Carl Berry had it painted in Crosville livery. A beautiful coach to look at and ride in! 2010 Stroud running day.
Taking pictures of all the buses at the various rallies and running days is not really my thing so I don't take that many. I would much rather take some shots of the event like this one of the band of far more serious enthusiasts gathered at Castle Donnington Showbus Event to get the various vehicles as they depart homewards. The Bristol RELH was the BTC Groups standard long distance coach in the Sixties and the Crosville examples in black and cream were amongst the most eye-catching and distinctive. A good tip though is if you find yourself snapping the one you came as it speeds off on it's way might be a long walk home lol. One of the guys who comes on our bus always leaves it till the last moment to get on and it is often only when he hears the Leopard start-up and burtst into life that he comes running.

1957 Crosville Bristol LD6G/ECW at Crosville bus rally 11-9-16. New to Crosville, Crewe where she spent most of service life later becoming Northwich Historic Tour Bus. Also saw historic service in Somerset for Rexquote Heritge. Ray Steele has owned her since April 2015 after finding her in a barn.

A nice trip down to Salisbury yesterday on Carl Berry's beautiful preserved Crosville 1968 Bristol RELH6G/ECW. I did like her when painted to represent a Bristol Greyhound coach.
