The first of our Paralanians in the sale today, this one is a Morris badged J2, so you can take your pick which flag you like to fly, the other in the sale sporting an Austin badge on its nose.
Requiring a lot of work to bring back to life, we don’t know when it was last taxed or MOTd and it is also lacking in the V5C department, although the number is still current with the DVLA so its new owner should be to apply for a duplicate logbook in the usual way.
These characterful period motorhomes were simply constructed using ash and flat aluminium sheet so it is not be beyond the wit of man to return this one to the land of the living. An experienced handyman or carpenter would be able to transform this vehicle, ending up with a distinctive and comfortable classic camper.
Fitted as it is with a B-series engine, it would also be a straightforward job to increase its power output by a factor of at least three, which would add a certain sparkle to its performance and bring a new dimension to Paralanian ownership.

My all time fave Bristol ECW coach, I only drove one which I took back to Luton from Lichfield after it was taken poorly.
fun part of this AFM is that it has a confocal Raman detector, so we are able to identify materials which are just 20-50 nanometers small (box to the right is a laser used to excite the spot we want to analyse)

At the Alton Bus Rally on 17 July, I met-up with another distant cousin from Crosville. Here we are parked side-by-side. Apparently she was a regular on the Aberystwyth to Birmingham run. I still think these girls look a bit sombre with black lips - apparently it's the "goth look" I'm told!
Mind you until recently she was in a terrible state - she got vandalised, all her windows smashed, front dash torn-off. Nice to see her back in fine form.
