Dasha™ as Anika Luxottica

IFDC 2016 Exclusive Convention Dressed Doll

Limited Edition Size: 500 Dolls Worldwide

Suggested Retail Price: $175.00

I think it's time for me to write a few words about this fabulous girl that I just got yesterday as my souvenir doll at 2016 IFDC.

First of all I want to say thank you to IT team for bringing us this fabulous trio and especially Dasha as Anika Luxottica. I was shockingly surprised after seeing her and I'm extremely happy that we finally got something unusual, I think it was a bit risky move for IT but I'm pretty sure we will see more of these dolls in the future.

It was an easy choice for me if I want to keep her - I love everything futuristic, so she is my number #1 favorite out of 3 dolls. She got an androgyny look and she constantly gives me a

Kristen McMenamy vibe.

She is totally robotic, cold and fierce. She is that kind of a doll that you want to look closer and probably will have mixed feelings at first - because this tiny piece of plastic pushes you to think "outside of the box" and if you loved freckles and cozy sweaters - you better forget about them at least for awhile.

The other huge plus - she comes with an absolutely fantastic outfit and accessories plus an additional cyborg pair of arms and legs - how cool is that?! Her jewelry set is similar to a J'Adore Elyse set but made in silver with moonstone look like accents. I have to mention her shoes - trust me you will love her shoes, these are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and extremely well made shoes. Also her dress has a fun "3D shimmery" effect and extremely well constructed with the silver studs on the front (you will also got a tiny bag with extra studs just in case if you'll need to repair lost ones in the future.)

The crossing of Whitehall Road over the railway line between the Chartham and Canterbury West stations.

For me, I love the way the centre petal is silhouetted against the other.

I spot-metered on the foreground, decided on the EV, then took the shot. I always go into a shooting frenzy once I see the sun going down in the horizon. I can hear my wife also clicking away a couple of meters from me.

Absolutely beautiful building.

This image becomes considerably more awesome when you notice the walking couple on the road, and then realize how absolutely giant the sunset-lit cliff is.

Absolutely honored. 💜

I'm sorry, but here's another sunset from Costa Rica.

I was searching through my archive and I came across this gem that I shot a couple of years ago. I was walking along one of the main streets in Jerusalem - Jaffa Street, and a came across this family who were visiting from the U.S. They must've been waking through the city for hours. I don't think the photo needs any further explanation than that.

A stranger portrait from Ilkley in West Yorkshire. Thus lady had so much style U just had to ask if I could take her photo.

Absolutely delighted to have a hedgehog that has just taken up residence in our back garden.

Here's a little bit of footage captured recently - as s/he's a bit of rockstar I thought it appropriate to set this to music!

Ab-Knabb. One from last years trip to Barnetby, with the guys, that I'd forgotten about.

I know, how can a shot such as this be missed!? All part of being blonde.

I am absolutely overjoyed! My upcoming book, Macro Photography: The Universe at Our Feet. Is here. Immense and sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped to support this project – completing this project during the pandemic has been one of the most stressful and frustrating thing in my career, but I can now bask in the light at the end of the tunnel. :)

A few rushed copies arrived this week so that I could take the product photos, get some sent off for copyright registration, test my packaging materials, etc. – with the full shipment of books to arrive on Monday (an estimate). The quality of the books is unparalleled. If you enjoyed my first book Sky Crystals, you’ll be blown away by the production quality and the final product here. It’s beyond my expectations, and my expectations were very high.

If you haven’t ordered a copy yet, the price goes up to full retail as soon as the shipment arrives on Monday. It is available in a hardcover edition @ 384 pages, or a Limited Edition leather-bound edition with an extra “encore” chapter @ 400 pages.

Hardcover Edition: skycrystals.ca/product/pre-order-macro-photography-the-un... - CAD$62.99 going up to CAD$75

Limited Edition: skycrystals.ca/product/pre-order-macro-photography-the-un... - CAD$285 going up to CAD$300+

This book is more than I could have imagined it to be from the beginning. It’s HUGE. It weighs just under 2kg and just over 4lbs with a footprint of 9.5” square. The paper was upgraded to one of the best, thickest options available. The cover of the Limited Edition has dull silver embossing while the Hardcover Edition has spot gloss in certain areas to really make an impact. But more than its physical attributes, it contains the entirety of my knowledge of macro photography is a single tome. That was an incredibly arduous task to organize and write in a way that everyone should be able to understand.

It’s also available as an eBook (interactive PDF): skycrystals.ca/product/pre-order-ebook-edition-macro-phot...

And has just been launched today as a Kindle Edition: www.amazon.com/dp/B094F63NSF/ (if you find value in a Kindle Edition, I would greatly appreciate a review to help future sales!)

This is the biggest project I have ever embarked on in my professional career. And now I’m just about to walk over the finish line. Thanks to all the compliments on my work that have inspired me to create more. Thanks to all of those who backed this project. Thanks to everyone cheering as we collectively celebrate the completion of this project. Champagne has already been consumed after the arrival of the early copies. Not to rest on our laurels, though – a logistical marathon awaits. Since every single copy of this book will be personally signed, I am handing the shipping myself. May is going to be a long and exhausting month. From every day I ship more books, I’ll be going to bed happy. :)

Gigondas (Vaucluse, Provence),

Who Will Survive in America? Not you...Well, unless you're white, male, heterosexual, able bodied and rich. Today is a day to wear pink to support Planned Parenthood if you live in America so that is one reason to post another photo from the Women's March.

I really thought I could relax from protest photos for a bit but then Republicans, the less big government sort of folks, decided to take away all of our citizen internet protections...we pay for a service and our privacy is still sold to the highest bidder...not very freedom oriented, is it? So, next time you are talking to a big GOP Trump supporter, remind him/her how the Republicans took away all our Internet Privacy rights...and next time you get nervous and search Web MD to see if you are seriously sick and what you have, you might be denied insurance based on a pre-existing condition.

Let's turn Congress and get these horrible laws repealed. Our very freedoms as Americans depend on it. All voting citizens are negatively effected by such legislations, even the people who voted for Trump and thought somehow that he would "drain the swamp" and represent them...boy, were they ever duped!

Trump is also against the environment even though an average of 67% of Americans oppose things like coal mining. He robbed us of our presidency with a stolen election and now he'll rob all our future generations of our livelihood. Resist!

I guess this explains the lack of folks coming door-to-door in our neighborhood selling magazines, vacuum cleaners, and encyclopedias.

My musical suggestion is: 'Don't Explain' - Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa .

Adorned with creeping vines, remnants of a forgotten civilization, peek through the verdant foliage, their weathered stones bearing silent witness to the passage of millennia. Wildflowers burst forth in a riot of color, butterflies dance in playful circles, while the wind chimes fills the place with melodies as old as time itself. Delicate blossoms, vibrant petals, whisper tales of forgotten realms and creatures. Amongst the ruins, stands the statue of the shapeshifting alien goddess. Her form, fluid and ever-changing, reflects the myriad facets of her divine nature. Carved from the finest stone, her likeness exudes an aura of enigmatic grace. Hovering above the goddess's head are her three orbs, ancient artifacts of unfathomable power. Black as the deepest void of space, these orbs levitate with an otherworldly grace, pulsating with an energy that defies explanation, each pulsating with a radiant energy that seems to defy comprehension.

There's absolutely nothing you can say or do to convince me that cats and dragons are not the same thing. Anywhere here's Gravy curled up, staring menacingly at me, protecting his (currently empty) treasure hoard.
