Wish you all a great weekend:)

When I asked him the what he would change about me... his only response was 'Your last name'. I am so excited to be engaged to my best friend. I cannot wait to be his wife and spend the rest of my life with him. I love you.

There are lots of beavers here in the area and it's not too difficult to find them when they start getting busy around nightfall. Unfortunately my camera isn't really made for bad light conditions and the beavers avoid coming close. This is the best shot I got in the last few months, and I'm not absolutely happy with it, but it's a start ;-)

We eventually found a cave of the most beautiful fluorescent flowers and plants. We had a fun time in our little stay here.

Today we went to the Coaldale Birds of Prey Center.

It was later in the day...an hour from closing and not many people around.

Inside was a tiny baby burrowing owl in a box with a sign .." Please ..do not touch!" above it. The lady from the center was kind enough to take the little one out of the box and set it gently on the floor for me to photograph. I of course got down on one knee..then laid on the floor..hoping for a perfect "birds eye" view and photograph.

To my (and everyone's) amazement it made a bee line directly for me and went over my arm and snuggled up against my chest. My husband took this picture (and a couple more below).

These little owls are on the endangered species list but are making a comeback here. I was amazed, thrilled and so excited to have it so close to me.

...My hubby and the center lady jokingly said that it was just trying to get inside a deep cave to hide (my blouse )...lol

Absolutely LOVE this fashion pack. The MH world needs more robecca tbh.

This scene appeared absolutely uninteresting to me in the summer when all the plants were covered in green leaves. But as often when most of them has fallen, much more structure and character is unveiled. Love the shots with thousands of sticks, as it remembers me to pencil strokes. And for sure, the red color complements wonderfully the white snow.

I absolutely love finding views like this in and around the lower mainland. Whether it's an unobstructed view, or some peekaboo glimpse where I can zoom right in with the telephoto, being able to remove as much of the human clutter to showcase the stunning setting Vancouver finds itself in brings me great joy. I've been searching for this particular view for years and I finally found it the other morning, along with one for Golden Ears (I'll post that image in the future). The sunrise itself that day was superb, so soft and ethereal, I hope that comes through in the final image.

Absolutely incredible light and colours this evening over the canal. One of the nicest sunsets of the year. These canal side thistles made for a great subject against the pinks and oranges of the sky.

Absolutely gorgeous pass by this Turkish Phantom over Sakarya river, for the 50 years anniversary of the aircraft.

And absolutely equal in every possible way. Sometimes the obvious has to be stated; parameters have to be set. This equality is a 'Given'.

They were a very early manifestation of the 'they' singular pronoun. I say 'early' but the pedigree can be traced back through Sir John Dee and earlier alchemists.

They exist, and have always existed, to act as our 'Infinity' surrogate tour guides, that is surrogates, of course, for 'us', until we intuit the lay of the land ourselves, and split.

I like that they appear here to have settled in Florida.

And why not? After all, absolutely anything can happen. That's a 'Given' too.

There is absolutely nothing out here. When we arrived at this intersection it seemed like there were an awful lot of signs. While I got out to take photos, Rose counted the signs and came up with 29. Caltrans must have got a good deal on signs. I can see 22 in this photo and the shadows of two more at the right. In hindsight, I should have tried to find an angle that included all the signs.

On life's vast ocean diversely we sail, Reason the card, but passion is the gale. BuckarooBob sets sail in the ironically and inappropriately named "Injun Joe" (I didn't name her, though she's my Hobie cat), always a fast, fun, wet ride. For sure, a summer boat. Men may change their climate, but they cannot change their nature. A man that goes out a fool cannot ride or sail himself into common sense. Less judgment than wit is more sail than ballast.

CANCIÓN DE PESCADORAS

Niñita de pescadores

que con viento y olas puedes,

duerme pintada de conchas,

garabateada de redes.

Duerme encima de la duna

que te alza y que te crece,

oyendo la mar-nodriza

que a más loca mejor mece.

La red me llena la falda

y no me deja tenerte,

porque si rompo los nudos

será que rompo tu suerte...

Duérmete mejor que lo hacen

las que en la cuna se mecen,

la boca llena de sal

y el sueño lleno de peces.

Dos peces en las rodillas,

uno plateado en la frente,

y en el pecho, bate y bate,

otro pez incandescente...

OK, so we went to the Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest. It was so packed with people you could barely walk two feet without bumping into a baby carriage, a rugrat, or some tourist. It was nearly absurd how many people were there and how long the lines were!

Anyway, there is this small alcove away from the main walkway, and this huge porthole-type window at the bottom of the whale shark tank which is HUGE. Glenn walked in first and looked up, and that instant I saw this shot and went nutz, couldn't believe the lighting, composition, everything! You can see the shadow of a whale shark in the top, and a sting ray to the right. The glow on him was amazing, the blue was perfect. And the most amazing this was there was NO one there for that split second. Everything came together in perfect timing and harmony. And the fact that he's so darn handsome doesn't hurt either!

I honestly think this is my favorite picture I've taken in a very long time. I really hope you all enjoy it as well!

Nights vibrations on the ghats of Ganga in Rishikesh are absolutely wonderful. The silence intrigues beyond the senses...

Didn't make me feel "blue".

Absolutely stupidly and ridiculously excited about finding my first ever 'inconspicuous ladybird' yesterday!!

Shame it was so dull and overcast... awful photo, but it's a record! Actually saw 2!
