Ooops, I missed the Autumn Solstice.
Also, I have had this prop since May 2009.
Every time I get it out and snap a few shots it comes out absolutely awful - every time.
This is the first time I've liked it. Perhaps its all about timing.
I got this Minolta X-9 late last year and finally got it photographed. It is a variant of the Minolta X-370N and, unlike that camera, this one has a depth-of-field preview button. The Minolta X-370N was itself a variation of the Minolta X-370/X-300, only with updated styling.

It's just a piece of sand, but people who go to Posto 9 say that they do not exchange this stretch of Ipanema Beach, near Rua Viníius de Moraes, for nothing. Territory of avant-garde bathers, the Nove, as it is known in the intimacy, gained fame in years 80, when, recently returned from the exile, Fernando Gabeira landed in the sand of tanguinha. It was also there that the topless, who never really caught Rio, had its precursors. Nothing more natural for the stretch of beach that proclaims libertarian and left.
Challenging and creative are adjectives that also tell the story of the Nine. In the 1990s, bathers set up a system to warn anyone who smoked marijuana in the sand habit rooted among many who frequent the place upon arrival of the police. With whistles hidden in their bikinis or swimwear, they made a loud noise.
The beehive has removed the repression, and today it is possible to see many smoking in the place, where there is always, at the end of the afternoon, applause for the sunset.
Eunbi (stranger 9)
Eunbi walked together with her girlfriend Hyesu in Delft. They took pictures of each other with their mobile phone, while they were walking on the bridges of the beautiful canals in Delft. I also walked there because I wanted to photograph the party lighting (christmas lighting). And then I would like someone in the foreground to make a photo for the # 100strangers project. The lights in the background are a beautiful frame of a portrait. Eundi and her friend wanted to pose and the nice thing is that they also wanted to make a photo of me. They both come from South Korea and study economics at the University in Rotterdam. Today was a day to see a beautiful old city. The old churches and houses with the canals of Delft.
This is the 9th photo of my second round of the # 100stangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the

These particular 9 blokes came across to Weston Super Mare from Wales (well Cardiff airport) They spent about 25 minutes thrilling thousands of people who were on Weston Super Mare seafront before going back to Wales again.
What an absolutely amazing display, fast, precise and thoroughly entertaining, the commentary from the team manager was excellent.
One thing I didn't realise was that they have 3 displays, but the Team leader doesn't decide until they get to within a few miles of the display area which display they are going to give.
It all depends on the cloud ceiling at the time.

Brilliant!
Broken
but delicious.
It was lovely kendall who gave me a recipe for this peanut butter pie.
I made it yesterday and it waited for me in a fridge till morning.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to serve it nicely (But I hope you'll like this photo too. You can see another photo in comments.) but it was super delicious so I don't mind!
The sign in front of Trinity Church in NYC says:
"On September 11th, 2001, debris from the collapsing World Trade Center towers knocked over a giant sycamore tree that had stood for nearly a century in the churchyard of St. Paul’s Chapel, at Broadway and Fulton St. When the dust settled, the uprooted tree was found lying on a narrow path in the yard. It had fallen in such a way that none of the historic tombstones around it were disturbed, and none of the wreckage reached the church.
Sculptor Steve Tobin heard the story of the sycamore and envisioned using its roots as the base for a bronze sculpture. He saw the roots as a metaphor for our connectedness and our strength after the tragic events of September 11.
The original roots, painstakingly preserved by Tobin with the help of tree experts, have been returned to St. Paul’s to reside permanently".

Week 9 / 52 is "music" This was shot hand held last night at a night street market in downtown Palm Springs California of a street vendor playing every kind of drum imaginable. Drums do qualify as music......Right?
I ran across this photo and just HAD to feature it on my page. I did NOT take this photo, I only edited the photo by turning it into black and white. I think sometimes.. actually, most of the time.. black and white photos can be much more dynamic, and make and amazing impact on the viewer, because most of us see in color. The color can be distractive to the eyes... taking away from the inherent reason or meaning of the photo. This is why I chose this photo. I knew that by turning it into black and white, would bring out more feeling and intensity of the horrific day we all globally experienced.. 9/11/01.
Cheers to the photographer for keeping his cool while watching this unfold in front of him.
