Dark is the world for me
For all its cities and stars.
If not for the certainty that God listens
to our cry,
who could stand so much misery,
so much callousness.

"Fluffy Gosling #9" by Patti Deters. One little spring gosling sits in the grass on a spring day outdoors. Her fluffy yellow feathers look more like fur, and she is looking right at the camera! Photographed in Stockholm, Wisconsin. Please enjoy more animal, birds, and other nature images at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/fluffy-gosling-9-patti-d....
Bilbo, our Norwegian Buhund is now 9 months of age. Still turbo, but gaining confidence and acting with a certain majesty :)
It's not that I can't handle things while he's away;
it's that everything is so much better when he's here.
I took this picture on my NYC trip back in April.

Happy New Year 2014!
Squad 9 arrived on #SquadSaturday! Squad 9 was established to help alleviate the number of calls that Squad 5 was responding to. Due to the enhanced role of this company, it was decided that the new engine will be called Squad 9 instead of Engine 9. The rig will be carrying a full set of Holmatro extraction equipment, Hazmat equipment, and medical equipment in addition to the standard engine company tools and hoses. The apparatus committee first looked at purchasing a used rig due to the cost-effectiveness of such a purchase. In so doing, the committee was able to find this rig that matched what the department required!

Having not made it back from Coleford Bridge Road in time to snap it the right way for the sun, Stagecoach Hants & Surrey 34415 (GX53 MWF) is seen on Farnborough Road with a service 9 journey around Southwood, Minley Estate and back.
It's passing a snoozing 16261 (P261 WPN).
