This is a passage to the train station where I live. I was heading for the train on my way to the city core when I heard these kids running and screaming behind me. I felt a picture coming and I grabbed my camera, crouched down and took this shot as they passed me...

f) Esposizione Finale tempo 1/15s con apertura f.5,6 (con il tubo e l’anello montato il diaframma corrisponde a f. 8,5 + 1/3 di apertura diaframma (corpo macchina su stativo Manfrotto);
g) Sviluppo Negativo a massima acutanza con FX-1 di Sir. Geoffrey W. Crawley (composto preparato artigianalmente con componente exstra integrato dal sottoscritto per migliorare l'acutanza degli alogenuri d'argento nelle aree nere comprese fra la "Zona I e Zona IV");
g) Scansione del negativo con Scanner piano Agfa Duoscan T2500 Pro su supporto mobile a carrello orizzontale (porta SCSI);
h) Prima Post-Produzione per effettuare un primo minimo intervento del bilanciamento tonale nelle varie aree del fotogramma, nelle ampie zone dei neri (superiori e inferiori) e nei bianchi per (luce proveniente dall’esterno sopra il capo della bimba) compensare la temperatura cromatica della luce fredda (la luce diurna del sole (Sunlight) supera i 5.000° Kelvin circa) con Nikon Capture NX 2
i) Seconda Post-Produzione con Adobe Photoshop CS3 per il bilanciamento della compensazione dell’Esposizione con le zone d’ombra;
l) Post-Produzione di completamento con Nikon Capture NX 2 per il completamento zonale delle aree.

This image is from a report in continuous evolution that I am making in the search for specific faces expressing particular feelings, scenes of environmental emphasis, expressions and deep feelings conveyed through simple look, a particular posture of the body or even from simple clothes and decorations individuals.

These images will be collected in a "Artistic Photography Technical Manual" which will describe the special filming techniques, materials, photographic equipment, sites and scenic environmental conditions.

It was another nice day out today so making the most of it and trying to stay outside as much as possible! was just me and the dog at home today so I took out the camera for a muck about. I really wanted to have a go at capturing motion here's my attempt, this is Cassie (my dog) chasing after a tennis ball haha. This is the sort of thing I wouldn't normally post on Flickr but the sheer determination in her face I just had to share!

Sotos de la Albolafia (Córdoba )
Único Monumento Natural de Europa enclavado dentro de una ciudad. Tramo del Guadalquivir comprendido entre el Puente Romano y el de San Rafael, con zonas inundables, pequeños afloramientos, barras e islotes, producto de las diferentes fluctuaciones históricas en el nivel del agua del río a su paso por la ciudad. Incluye antiguas edificaciones relacionadas con el uso del agua. Albergan una importante avifauna, con importantes poblaciones de garcilla bueyera, calamón y morito.
Tan sólo seis kilómetros conforman los llamados Sotos de la Albolafia. El material de arrastre que el río deposita en este tramo, ha configurado un paisaje de lo más peculiar, donde gran variedad de aves y plantas han encontrado su lugar perfecto. Tanto es así, que el dos de octubre de 2001, fue declarado Monumento Natural, creando, de esta forma, en medio de la ciudad, una verdadera reserva de flora y fauna.

Uno de los glaciares que avanza en el Campo de Hielo Sur. Este avance fue constatado por el estanciero Finn Samsing, quien entre los años 1925-1926, fundó su estancia frente al glaciar, pero debido al avance de éste, tuvo que evacuar la zona. Es considerado el glaciar más grande del hemisferio sur, con 1263 kms. cuadrados y un largo de 62 kms. (año 1995). Lo que se ve en la foto es menos de la mitad del glaciar.

A half-demolished Nelson's Pillar on O'Connell Street, Dublin.
From the front page of the Irish Times on Tuesday, 8 March 1966:
"The top of Nelson Pillar, in O'Connell street, Dublin, was blown off by a tremendous explosion at 1.32 o'clock this morning and the Nelson statue and tons of rubble poured down into the roadway. By a miracle, nobody was injured, though there were a number of people in the area at the time."

The sky is still clearly overexposed but the fairy tale landscape might compensate that, at least a little.
The Pyrenees mountain range forms a fantastic backdrop to the entire Ariège Department, rising some 3,000 meter (10,000 feet) in the Montcalm Massif, along the border with Andorra and Spain. The highest peaks are clearly visible visible from Toulouse in the Haute Garonne. It is one of the least populated and most unspoiled regions of France. The locals enjoy keeping traditions alive, especially old farming techniques. Consequently, as fewer insecticides, for example, have been used, the flora and fauna of the area continue to be rich in both diversity and numbers. Butterflies are common and birds are numerous; particularly noticeable are large birds of prey, including the magnificent Griffon vultures.

Numerous notable landmarks are located in Manila, such as Rizal Park, and the historical Intramuros. Rizal park is a crescent-shaped 58 hectare park that lies within the heart of Manila's cultural and business district, as an honor and dedication to the country's national hero José Rizal, who was executed in the same place where the park was created by the Spaniards on charges of subversion.
This high oblique panorama shows Morocco and Spain as photographed by the Expedition 30 crew members aboard the International Space Station. The Atlantic Ocean, Straits of Gibraltar and Alboran Sea (the westernmost portion of the Mediterranean Sea) separate Spain on the right from Morocco on the left. Algeciras Harbor is the prominent notch cut out of the eastern end of the north shore of the Strait. A Russian spacecraft, docked to the orbital outpost, is in the upper left corner.

This week I have seen how much I have improved the last months.. It feels good to know that I am getting better. Sometimes it feels like I am seeing this world with entirely new eyes. Suddenly I see, I feel and I care about other things than what I used to. Everything changes over time. I'm happy to know.. :)

Enjoy an image of the Seattle skyline from the northwestern neighborhood of Magnolia. In the immediate foreground is Smith Cove Waterway, part of the Port of Seattle that houses extremely large cruise ships during the summer months.
In the center, the mill with the green lights is actually a grain terminal (still in operation) and is located adjacent to a fishing pier that’s open 24 hours a day.
The very scenic Elliott Bay bicycle trail goes through the area, known as Myrtle Edwards Park. I take this route to and from work eight months out of the year. In fact, bike season, for me, starts on the first Monday in March! Can’t wait!

Happy Miniature Sunday, Purple Hour edition yet again :-)
This is from the last Sunday, when I had a great roof-top photo-session during the snowy purple hour. Captured this purple magic in many of my fave places I tend to photograph from the roof-top, of course, Toy-ronto spots included :-) So do expect more of this long-exposure purple goodness in the near future :-)

Yesterday night went to photograph the street art in back alley ways of china town. This was the first shot I took handheld (with ISO 2000, f/8, 1/13sec) just to check the composition with wide angle, before setting up the tripod. After that I took around 15 shots. Interestingly this one I like the most!
Well, again uploaded two photos in one day and in reverse order!! this one is yesterday's shot! Was too sleepy when came back home to process and upload!

A wonderful weekend to you all! I hope you have the opportunity to hand around like these three guys.
I've been back from vietnam for more than a months - I didn't touch my camera ever since. This morning I had the feeling to grap it for the first time after the trip. It's itching again even though it is insanely cold around here. I can't wait to work on something new during the next weeks.

My first ever star trail :))
Had a great time last night with Flickr buddy Rohit Ganda as we went out for our first ever star trail photoshoot!
It was a very difficult location by a lake here in Hyderabad, with a lot of rocks and slush and mud all around and without much lights it took us a long long time to find a right spot to catch the trails.
After nearly an hour of scouting around in the dark, we both managed to find a decent location. I stacked 10 shots here, each exposed to approximately 10 mins (600 seconds) so overall about 1hr 40 mins of exposure in here and am sure a little bit longer would've been better.
Being a sucker for the human element in the frame, on my last shot I went and climbed those rocks and stood there for about 3-4minutes after which I got dizzy and decided to sit down by the side so I did that for another 3-4 minutes. Thats how I got two of myself in the frame, which I'm not sure is particularly exciting but thats how it is.
Am not 100% satisfied with the overall outcome here but considering it was my first time, I will take this. Will certainly try for a better one next time.
