I'm home from my school trip and honestly I didn't shoot much except the last day where I asked if someone wanted to go down to the river.
I had a few great days. We were in south of Norway, and the nature was so nice. I have been climbing, rafting in a 7 degrees cold norwegian river, go-kart. Really had a few days with much adrenalin! It was great :)
Now I have some catching up to do.. !
Also, thank you so much Moritz, for writing me such a sweet testimonial. <3 Please go to his stream and check him out if you haven't already, he is amazing! :)
Since today I'm ill and I have more free time, I deciced to use this picture as sort of map of my other pictures of Genova, and "geo-tagged" a few of them in the map. Feel free to wander around and take a visit to this city, and tell me if you like the idea, maybe I'll add more links.

Same location of my "a dive in Genoa" shot, and same lens too (Samyang fisheye). The top of the terrace of "Palazzo Rosso" (Red Palace), Via Garibaldi, is a great panoramic place. I think that it would also be good to isolate some datail with long focal lenses (that I don't own ^__^), but the view with the fisheye is quite impressive too.

I had almost forgotten how it was like to go out in the water to shoot. The water is getting warmer and warmer indeed :)
Soo.. I have very little ideas right now, and mostly all of my ideas just come very spontaneous.
On sunday I will be leaving for a school trip.. And I am trying to figure out how to post when I'm gone haha..
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Nomi comuni della ROSA CANINA:
*Rosa di macchia
*Rosa selvatica

It’s great to finally post again! My new website has kept me very busy. So many photographers have amazing websites now. My new venture has been a surprising success so far, and if anyone is interested I would be happy to share what I have learned. I have a “My Blog” link on my website, where I will include steps I have taken to make the site work, including how I have been able to sell prints internationally. This was a nightmare at first; however I figured out a system for almost all sales.
The Shot: I scouted out The Marin Headlands Area to the north of San Francisco, for a spot where I could capture an image of the fireworks show, which was to be the finale of The Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary celebration. The Headland hills were littered with people wanting to witness the display, including many other photographers. I chose to set up on Wolfback Ridge, where I was joined by about 200 other excited individuals. This was a great spot and not bad at all for shooting the fireworks; however I soon realized that I was not set up at the best possible location to capture what I had envisioned.
While waiting for the show’s finale, I became captivated by the colorful little boats that had gathered in the harbor. I decided to attempt a 6-shot pano of the scene to include the boats, city skyline and the car light trail that snaked from The Golden Gate Bridge along Highway 101. While I kept my camera aperture setting at a constant f/8, I realized that I needed to adjust the shutter speed setting as I panned across the scene. Doing this would give me a better chance of maintaining even lighting throughout the sky.

The buttes of the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park are icons of the Wild West.
They have been the background of many movies such as John Ford’s Stagecoach with John Wayne and have had bit parts in Easy Rider, 2010 Space Odyssey, The Eiger Sanction and Forest Gump.
You will see vehicles on the road in the foreground. If you had looked a short while before this photo was taken, you would have seen my red Toyota proceeding in a cloud of dust along the road.
This is the view from the visitor's center.
I would like to return and spend much more time to see and capture the beauty of the park.

5XP HDR shot of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan, New York.
Initially, I disliked the construction scaffolding attached to the facade of the Cathedral but I've grown to appreciate it since it highlights the base via the additional light. Didn't know that the roof of the Cathedral also forms a Cross when seen from above~ gotta see if I can find that POV one day!

The Shadow-Line depicts a young man at a crossroads in his life, facing a desperate crisis that marks the “shadow-line” between youth and maturity.
Not something I'd normally post, but two together, especially the diversity between the two GT-R's, was pretty different...
I'm not going to pretend that I really like GT-R's, because I don't. I once did, when they first came out a few years ago, but somehow they lost all 'coolness' to me. What do you think of the GT-R? Also, what year GTR's are these? I think that the white and red are 2011 and 2010, respectively. Correct me if I'm wrong though :P (probably!)
Anyway, I threw this up because I just saw it there, and wondered if anyone would be interested. I took this shot quite a while ago while on a group photo shoot with "MSCC". I've got some more cool stuff coming *soon*... :O
C&C appreciated!

The Pannonian Plain is a large plain in Central Europe that remained when the Pliocene Pannonian Sea dried out. It is a geomorphological subsystem of the Alps-Himalaya system.
The river Danube divides the plain roughly in half.
The plain is divided among Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
The plain is roughly bounded by the Carpathian mountains, the Alps, the Dinaric Alps and the Balkan mountains.
Although rain is not plentiful, it usually falls when necessary and the plain is a major agricultural area; it is sometimes said that these fields of rich loamy loess soil could feed the whole of Europe. For its early settlers, the plain offered few sources of metals or stone. Thus when archaeologists come upon objects of obsidian or chert, copper or gold, they have almost unparalleled opportunities to interpret ancient pathways of trade.
The precursor to the present plain was a shallow sea that reached its greatest extent during the Pliocene, when three to four kilometres of sediments were deposited.
The plain was named after the Pannonians, a northern Illyrian tribe. Various different peoples inhabited the plain during its history. In the first century BC, the eastern parts of the plain belonged to the Dacian state, and in the first century AD its western parts were subsumed into the Roman Empire. The Roman province named Pannonia was established in the area, and the city of Sirmium, today Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, became one of the four capital cities of the Roman Empire in the 3rd century.

We had a happy Victoria Day on Monday with splendid summer weather and with delightful firework festivity at night. And I had quite a festive rooftop photo-session, capturing all the sparkling colourful downtown and fireworks at Ashbrdge's Bay.
It all started with the magic blue hour, which got deeper and deeper with each volley of fireworks - you'll see it next :-)

From coast to coast... The last post was the Bay Bridge. It quietly celebrated a 75th birthday last November to little fanfare, unlike the attention the Golden Gate Bridge is getting. Who's the red-headed step child now?
Well, all words cast aside, I was in Boston last week. The waters were so still you just wanted to dump some tea in the Harbor and scream "No taxation without representation"! Haha. This is the Evelyn Moakley Bridge. It is next to a U.S. Courthouse, which was subsequently named the John (aka "Joe") Joseph Moakley (former Congressman) Federal Courthouse shortly before his death. It's a little further down the Harbowalk than last year's post.
Not even room for a little 'un on this packed day car in Sligo town. Destinations advertised outside Walsh's were Ballina, Bundoran, Enniskillen, Ballyshannon and Roscommon.
Thanks to John Spooner, we now know this photo was taken on Corcoran's Mall in Sligo and he found great info on Walsh's schedules from Slater's 1870 directory for Sligo:
"To BALLINA, from Corcoran's Mall, a Mail Car, every morning at fifty-five minutes past six, and a Van at halfpast two afternoon.
To BALLYSHANNON, from Corcoran's Mall, a Mail Car, every morning at six; also a Day Car at twenty minutes past two afternoon, during summer months only.
To ENNISKILLEN, Cars leave WALSH'S Office, Corcoran's Mall, every day (Sunday excepted) at seven in the morning." See comments below for how John worked out that the trip from Sligo to Ballyshannon worked out at an average of 6.75 mph!
Date: 1880s?

Hundreds of galahs gather on the power lines in late afternoon for a snack before retiring. They glide down to the grass and eat the seeds - bit of an essay follows. They are also in pairs everywhere - mating season coming up.

The New City Hall or New Town Hall in Hanover, Germany at night, is a city hall and was opened on July 20th, 1913, after having been under construction for 12 years.
It is a magnificent, castle-like building of the era of William II in eclectic style at the southern edge of the inner city (outside of the historic city center of Hanover).
The building is embedded in the 10 hectare Maschpark. The Old City Hall is no longer used as the main seat of administration, but houses businesses and the registry office.
Am starting to enjoy getting in with the action now days, hoping some day I get to work with bigger swells.
I liked the movement in this shot, wish the sky could have been more dramatic, will be re visiting this locations soon when the clouds are better.
Sorry if I haven’t been around much to comment, have been a bit buys and hope to catch up soon.
Thanks for you visit and comments.
Have a great day.
