Stranger #87 – Danny –I met him in downtown Santa Barbara, California. He is Adriana’s friend (Stranger #86) and he showed up during my conversation with her. Danny’s very friendly attitude was obvious the moment we met as he greeted me with a big smile :) Noticing his cool look, I asked for a photo. Danny agreed without hesitation. I took a few pictures and then we chatted a bit and laughed a lot ;) Actually he surprised me because he knows some very simple Polish phrases. It turned out he was growing up in a neighborhood with a strong Polish community and picked up a few lines from other kids. Danny is an extremely chilled guy and it was a pleasure to meet him :)

It's a bit blurry, but I had to take this through the sunroof while the car was moving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Marco (stage name: Paco) is a veteran of the Ferrara Buskers Festival. He's a good juggler, and an excellent entertainer: he's able to use for his show whatever happens around him. To say one: he was pretending to be near suicide, with an hilarious pathos and all of a sudden the great bell of Ferrara's cathedral starts to DOOOOOONNNNNNG. He started like: "Hey bishop, I was kidding! I was playing a role! Hey people, the priests here really care about what's around!" We were all laughing like crazy.
At the end of his performance he said that you can even decide to put nothing in his hat, but if you decide to put something, just think that this show didn't start an hour ago, an it's not finished now... I was moved by the elegant simplicity used to call an action, putting some money in a hat, to say thank for a smile and to sustain an artist. You could feel his passion while saying it.
After the show it was amazing to see that all of his stuff (plenty of) was stored on a travel bike, the PacoMachine! I'm a bike traveler too, so the hook was easy, and the following chat quite pleasant. He's traveling Europe on his bike, and showed all the simplicity true nice people have.
He was quite curious about the project and gladly posed.
This shot shows all the limits of my scanner, when it comes to scan colors, but hope his expression convey all the pleasure we had just talking about bikes, roads, arts, photos...

STS087-S-001 (August 1997) --- The STS-87 patch is shaped like a space helmet symbolizing the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) on the mission in support of testing of tools for the assembly of the International Space Station (ISS). Earth is shown reflected on the backside of the helmet. The Space Shuttle Columbia forms the interface between the Earth and the heavens, the back and front sides of the helmet in profile. The three red lines emerging from Columbia represent the astronaut symbol as well as the robot arm, which will be used to deploy and retrieve the Spartan satellite. The letters 'ug' represent the payloads studying microgravity science in space on this United States Microgravity Payload (USMP-4) mission. Gold flames outlining the helmet visor represent the corona of the Sun, which will be studied by Spartan. The flag of Ukraine is next to the name of the payload specialist who is the first person from that nation to fly on the Space Shuttle. The NASA insignia design for Shuttle flights is reserved for use by the astronauts and for other official use as the NASA Administrator may authorize. Public availability has been approved only in the form of illustrations by the various news media. When and if there is any change in the policy, which is not anticipated, it will be publicly announced.

TRP: Dazzling, Delightful, Delicious, Decaying Doors & errm Benches
This old bench was decaying in our yard and I made my husband move it to the field behind us. I wish I had waited for the sun to go down a little more but we have plans tonight and it was a “now or never” situation. This darn dress is making another appearance {I used it 4 days ago} but I had curled my hair and I thought the hair and dress went together. I think maybe I need to go hunting for another dress soon. I would like to re-do this when the lighting is right.

Es es la impresion que da esta fotografía, aunque nada más lejos de la realidad. Se trata de un conjunto de pilares decorativos que hay en el entorno del Edificio Politecnico de la UAH. La foto está hecha desde el suelo, y el que "falte" la columna de la izquierda es porque son de diferente altura...
Otro procesado contrsatado, ya lo se... Voy a empezar a no contrastar tanto, a ver si soy capaz..., pero esta me lo pedía.

note the Motoral van being attached at Euston -- assunme the 87 had shunted the Motorail directly onto the train - I Was on my way to Crewe works open day
