Week No. 25: “Favorite Photographer”
Category: Creative
9 years ago on small island of Great Saltees (nature reserve )of the south east coast of Ireland I met a great photographer and now a good friend of mine Des Glynn. Des inspired me to take up nature photography . Over the years I learned a lot and my nature images would not be as they are today with out help of Des .
Here is a link to Des Glynn photography
Landscape: Zoomed in - Most landscapes are wide sweeping images. Try an alternative and zoom in instead.

just messing around =)
The most beautiful sights I see usually have lots of green in them. It is said the human eye can detect more shades of green than any other color.
This image was originally in answer to a weekly photo challenge . . . "Favorite Color". So this assignment was easy . . . all I had to do was post one of my landscapes and I was finished for the week. But that would not be in the right spirit of the challenge. So, since I love golfing (on a green golf course) where it requires green money to pay the green fees. I gathered a light-green shirt and a green pair of pants and put some money into the pocket . . . and I am now ready to dress for golf.
Week 29/52.
Using Depth of field to make a subject be part of something bigger. "Connected to nature". Sometimes a day or more outside the city is the best to rest the body and clear the mind. Had a day out canoeing in a quiet lake, at times so quiet you couldn't even hear a sound of a wind. But then.... the soothing sound of the water against the paddle and the canoe. So refreshing! Then hearing a sound of a "Black-chested Loon" (pictures to follow). I today, re-charged my own batteries by disconnecting the world wide web and the rest of the world.

35/52: The weekly challenge - Shoes
Left to right are my eldest son's first shoes, my youngest son's first shoes, eldest son's first slippers and his first birthday present (a wooden bus with little wooden people). In front a pair of tiny shoe lasts.
I persuaded my husband to get them down from the loft as I wanted to use them for this theme, but then couldn't think how so just set it up a bit like a shoe shop display...not the best still life but job done and this obviously holds a lot of memories for me. My boys are now both in their thirties...how did that happen?
For Through The Lens week 25 theme of "These Three Things", a. Lensbaby triptych of headshots of the iconic Melbourne sculpture "Three Businessmen Who Brought Their Own Lunch".

For the 52 in 52 challenge - impermanence.
I can't compete with the amazing landscapes that you've all posted for the challenge so I decided to revisit a photo I took a couple of years ago. I just thought this summed up impermanence, you can only sharpen a pencil so many times before, like most things in life and like life itself, it comes to an end. It's quite a thought provoking challenge and I hope you don't think my take on it is flippant.
Sorry to post and run again, will catch up later.

going for a soft, ethereal feel
For the Through the Lens week 52 challenge theme of "You At The End" I thought this photo of me with this piece of Melbourne street art was perfect.
A lensball image, taken in Woodlands HP, for the Through The Lens week 48 theme of "Inverted". The refracted image in a lensball is always inverted.

52 Week Challenge - week 12 : MULTIPLE EXPOSURES
I used the in-camera multiple exposure mode to capture 3 images in quick succession, wasn't sure if it was going to work as I'm not great at hand-holding the camera, but after many (read literally hundreds, lol) failed attempts I managed to capture this which I was pleased with.
CC very welcome
P.S. slowly catching up after back surgery
