Red Nessie - www.janelia.org/archive/red-nessie
Artistic: Red - Shoot whatever inspires you. Red should be the focus of the image. Don't be afraid to be creative.

Artistic: Land - Your inspiration this week is land. This could be a landscape, or an image inspired by the land in some way.
1:52 Red
This will be my last macro for a while. The autofocus has stopped working so the lens is going in for repair.
8:52 Try to see geometrically
I don't photograph buildings much but this week's theme inspired me to seek some hard edges. This is a busy food hall in Singapore's financial district - so many really good food options and a cool looking building.
47/52 Pick one place and don’t move from it for one hour making as many beautiful images as you can from that one point of view.
I didn't think I'd have time to do this challenge but a perfect hoar frost prompted me to delay pre-vacation chores for an hour to zip to a local park and marvel at the sights. It was a bit cold to stay in exactly the one spot but I tried :)
17:52 the young and the restless
How accommodating of these guys to move in just in time for this theme. I think there are 7 in total though I’ve only seen 4 together.

33:52 Every day item: Turn something that you would normally walk right by into a work of art
I see these pigeons everyday either on my way to work or in and around the shore. This light and electrical wire is so ugly and the birds find it to be a good perch. But I often wonder/wish if we didn't have any more wires, buildings, concrete etc, wouldn't there be more birds? And better places for them to perch?
Happy Sunday! Thanks for Visiting.
34:52 - Choose your favourite poem and try to represent a line of it visually.
I don't have a favourite poem, but as I have written a lot of poetry, I thought I would use one of mine.
words are difficult
things to swallow
transparent
huge
and choking…
I can think
into the air
but the communication wires
shake with electricity
and break…
I can feel
and you might grasp
halfway
what my lips
are trying to say
but can’t…
I can speak
but my tongue
confuses things extremely
unruly creature!
and you turn
in embarrassment
at something that should have
reached you…
I can touch
in hope
that inner reachings
might become attached…
because
words are difficult
things to swallow…
3:52 purple
Nothing purple to be found round here so I’m hitting the archives. This clematis survived Dan mowing it down twice and here it’s surviving a drowning.
23:52 in my garden. My old neighbour used to call random flowers that suddenly appear in your garden volunteers. That’s what these are.
25:52 Dawn or Dusk, your choice
Sufers out under a rising full moon at Torquay Surf Beach this evening, with fellow Flickrite Andrew Haysom www.flickr.com/photos/ajhaysom/.
12:52 The painter Bonnard said "Make little lies to tell great truths".
Use that as your inspiration.
9:52 Shapes
Struggling for time this week so back to the archives where I found a bunch of triangles. Moraine Lake, Banff National Park.
41:52 natural frames
Like vanishing dew,
a passing apparition
or the sudden flash
of lightning -- already gone --
thus should one regard one's self ~ Ikkyu
12:52 Looking back on 2017 ... Nature up close.
22_100 X Flowers
Was there ever a more aptly named plant?
Essentially SOOC ... just some tweaking of highlights and shadow, colours untouched.
32:52 circle of life and 26:52 that’s buggy
I’m trying to complete as many 52 week challenge themes as possible and I completely forgot about this one. You can be grateful I spared you the gull eating the duckling.
#44: The weekly challenge - Black and white landscape
#80 in my 100 x challenge - photos from my travels
Cape Otway Lighthouse is the oldest surviving lighthouse on mainland Australia. We visited whilst staying in Apollo Bay. I may have overdone the processing a bit with the strong dramatic look...too much?
Since it has a fence in it's also for Fence Friday. HFF and wishing you all a fabulous weekend.
18:12 Hidden Treasures
What a special day we spent today with the FFF+ in Blackwood, Victoria (Australia). Not as much Autumn colour as we'd hoped for but well and truly made up for by the lovely company. Wonderful to meet some more members of the Flickr Family. (www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/with/40788927473/ & www.flickr.com/photos/dmunro100/ )
I was looking through the archives for a monochrome image for a camera club competition when I came across this one which I converted to mono and preferred it to the colour version. I'm pleased to say it did very well in the competition.
I am using this for the weekly/monthly challenge - Reflections and since it had a fair bit of sliding HSS
I'm still not spending much time on Flickr so apologies for the lack of comments. I will catch up a bit now but may only get a chance to see your most recent images.
