1986. 'Portastudio' was a name coined by Teac.
The only one I used was the Fostex 160 3 3/4 ips double speed & Dolby C
When I moved from 'two tape deck bouncing' to a new 4-tracker, it felt good only for a short time, the sound quality was not that great once you ping ponged, even with double speed, top chrome tapes & dolby c, dbx.
God the street user has it sooo good today with the likes of garageband! Hurray!
this motel is used as a film set and has been featured in several tv shows like The OC, NCIS, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was also the motel used in the movie Identity with john cusack. and most recently was the diner featured in lady gaga's "telephone" music video featuring beyonce.
Rescue Tender 221 running the very latest Mercedes rig. This is one in a batch of 3.
Rescue Tenders are a smaller version of Toronto Fire's Squads and serve the same role as an advanced rescue unit.
Shamelessly copying Fruit Gum's idea and posting before i get 2nd thoughts. I did intend to try a shot like this earlier in pregnancy but perhaps it's as well to wait until i had a proper bump.
Texture came from Brenda Starr's photostream though for obvious reasons, i won't be posting this publicly!
And 100% thanks to HPAD for giving me the courage to experiment with shots like this.
I've also splashed out on some Cervin stockings. Metaphorially, of course, although the temptation was there.

A Renault 4 in Cluj-Napoca in a pretty good condition, and despite the fact that it looks a bit abandoned, it is still used.

This was actually taken last week at my friend Wayne's wedding. I didn't get it uploaded as I went on holiday 2 hours after the wedding, sorry! I could never be a wedding photographer, the thought of it just doesn't appeal one bit, but I quite like taking candid photos - for one, you get away with things not being perfect (which is great!) and two, I personally think that they capture a moment so much better than a posed photograph. That's why I chose this picture for week 4, technically speaking, it could be better, the light wasn't ideal, I was confined to my seat etc. but having got married myself only 8 weeks ago, this was the reason I took my camera to this wedding. This was the moment that Wayne saw his bride to be - a moment which I'm sure will stay with him forever - and one that I really wanted to catch for them.
The top three layers of the downtown 4-level interchange, or "Stack," of the Pasadena (CA-110), Harbor (I-110), and Hollywood (US-101) Freeways in Los Angeles. This was the first 4-level interchange in the world and an engineering marvel when built. The ambulance at the top is on the scene of an accident on the Hollywood Freeway.
