Finally carrying its correct fleet number of 40407 having spent the last few years carrying incorrect number of 30407.
The display on Preston Bus 40407 is not to be believed. The bus was actually working route 8 to Moor Nook. I think the driver must have gone to far in the settings while changing the display for its next round trip on the 8. In fact, by the time the bus had turned the corner next to me the display was showing the correct route.
I dont think a double decker has ever worked the Preston Orbital route in ether direction (88A or 88C).
Also of note is the fleet number carried by the bus is incorrect. It should be 40407 rather then 30407.

At the bus station leaving for the nearby hospital on PrestonBus route 19A is PO56 RSZ, a Scania CN230UD Omnicity / Omnidecker with bodywork originally styled by East Lancs. Behind is Seddon Atkinson recovery truck K288HNG
De monumentale, gotische Heilge Kruiskerk in Stekene bevat grondvesten van circa 1200. De voornaamste verbouwingswerken vonden plaats in 1548 en 1898. Op de zuidelijke buitengevel bevindt zich een originele zonnewijzer uit 1773.
Het interieur en het exterieur werd beschermd als monument in 1981 omwille van de artistieke en historische waarde. Het gebouw werd gerestaureerd in 1995-1997.
