The newest member of the family.
I have waited about a year for one of these. I traded the Leningrad for it. The Lenny was highly collectable and rare as well, but just was too clunky, heavy and loud to be enjoyed as a "user" camera, at least for me. This holds all of the promise that the Lenny lacked. It has a big bright beautiful viewfinder and the full range of shutterspeeds from 1 sec to 1/1000 on one dial. the whole back comes off for loading and it is only marginally bigger than the Zorki 1. sweet!
I finally decided to get one of these having wanted one for a while. It all works fine but i did test the shutter with a tester and the 250, 500 and 1000 speeds are a good stop slower than they should be. I also took the lens apart and polished up the barrel a bit with some silver polish wadding, no idea if the lens will focus alright now though it's back together, lucky i got 2 more Jupiter 8's.

This Aircraft was Licence-built in Spain by CASA, Junkers Ju 52/3m (CASA 352L) and formerly of the Spanish Air Force (T.2B-272), now in civil colour scheme.
The first flight of Ju52/1m was on the 13 October 1930, I was nine months old at the time, the Ju53/3M first flew on 7 March 1932
The aircraft was built in Germany, France and Spain, production ceased in Spain in 1952, total number built being 4,845.

New acquisition from Kiev. Zenit-3M + (what I really wanted) Helios-44.
This is the original Helios-44 58mm f2, M39 mount, 13 aperture blades, that is supposed to be basically a carbon copy of Carl Zeiss Jena's Biotar 58mm f2, optically.

Finally! Took photos of these 3M traffic lights while we were going to Honea Path, SC to hear the siren (Sterling M-10)! But the siren didn't went off. These 3M traffic lights are located in Gantt, SC off of Augusta road and Pleasantburg drive.
*UPDATE 7/8/15*: This 3M has been replaced.

Mount: KMZ's ZM39 screw mount. It looks like M39 Leica mount but due to the mirror space, the rangefinder M39 mount lenses do not work properly on this camera. You can use them only the close-up focus range
Aperture: f/3.5-f/16setting: ring and scale on the lens
Focus range: 0.65-20m +inf
Focusing: via ground-glass screen, ring and scale on the lens
Shutter: rubberized silk double cloth curtain, horizontal focal plane
speeds: 1/30-1/500 +B, setting dial on the top plate

Shutter speed can be selected before ofrafter the film is wound and the shutter is cocked contrary to early Leica inspired cameras of Soviet Union.
The main differences from Zenit-3: the back cover is removable and the new mechanism of cocking lever with shutter release button.
